Vikings Dominate Both Sides of Ball; Down Broncos 43-28
The Vikings came into their Week 7 game versus the Broncos as the last remaining undefeated team, looking to go to 6-0 on the season. While turnovers kept Denver within striking distance, the Vikings dominated the game in all phases.
The Vikings started the game out hot, scoring all 10 points in the first quarter as they did what they do best - ride AP early and often. The Broncos would respond, however, on a 33 yd TD pass from QB Osweiler to WR Demaryus Thomas early in the 2nd. On the Vikings next drive, AP would score on an electric 50-yard TD run to the put the Vikings up 17-7. The Vikings would tack on two more FG's, and Thomas would catch his second TD of the day in the back of the end zone on 3rd and goal. Score at half - 23-14 in favor of MN.
The Vikings would get sloppy in the second half - Romo would throw his first pick as a Viking, which was returned 41 yards by CB Sean Smith to bring the Broncos within 2. The Vikings would respond, as their offense was able to move on the Bronco D with ease, scoring 20 unanswered points over the next 13 minutes. Romo would finish with his first 300 yard passing game of the year, and AP would tack on 177 yards and 3 TD's to his 2013 MVP resume. The Broncos would score on defense a second time, but it was too little too late. Final score: 43-28 in favor of MN.
