31 - 15
The Crimson Tide traveled to Baton Rouge Saturday night to face the Bengal Tigers of LSU in a contest that would put the winner in the drivers seat to winning the SEC Western Division. The Crimson Tide struck first midway thru the 1st Qtr when TJ Yeldon cut back against the quick pursuit of the Tigers and raced 57 yards for the TD.
After forcing a punt on LSU next possession the Crimson Tide scored again on the big play when QB Parker McLeod ran the option to perfection and raced 47 yards for a TD and increased the Bama lead to 14-0. But Coach controllerabuser would not let his Tigers quit and they responded in the 2nd Qtr when Odell Beckham caught a 4 yard TD pass from Anthony Jennings with just over 3 minutes left in the half LSU pulled to within 14-7. The Crimson Tide came out looking to work the ball into scoring position and get a score just before the half when Parker McLeod caught the Tigers in zero coverage and he found DeAndrew White open for a 58 yard TD strike to push the Bama lead back to 21-7. In the 3rd Qtr the Crimson Tide took the kickoff and marched 80 yards and capped the drive off with a 26 yard TD pass to Brian Vogler and gave the Crimson Tide some breathing room at 28-7. The Tigers scored on a Jarvis Landry 9 yard TD from Anthony Jennings to pull within 31-15 but it was not enough as the Crimson Tide held on for the win.
