Martin Picks Rebels Off
LSU defeats Ole Miss, 22-20.
Big rivalry game as the Tigers host rival Ole Miss. Add to that, a lot of potential commits were visiting.
LSU has a rough time only scoring 1 offensive touchdown. Getting help with K James Hairston's 3 FGs and Gerard Bryant's KR for a TD was huge. Nothing was bigger than FS Ronald Martin's interception at the 1 which proved to be a deciding factor in this game. LSU wins 22-20!
Clemson dominates Syracuse 56-17
There was no letdown after the Tigers big upset of FSU. They steamrolled the Cuse. Sammy Watkins electrified the crow with 7 catches for 212 yards and 2 TD's. He also returned a kickoff for a TD as well. Senior HB DJ Howard rushed for 130 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Tigers coasted to an ACC victory.
Miami pulls out a tough one at home. VT would take and early 14-0 lead as the defensive coordinator for Miami would scratch his head and have to make some adjustments as VT was going what they wanted, with a great mix of plays they were working it right down the field, almost effortlessly. Miami offense had to get going, and after their first drive they weren't going to be stopped. The attack had a well balanced attack as VT played Duke Johnson very well. They were holding him early and forced Miami to come out throwing, luckily for Miami they have Ryan Williams who was needed today and stepped up big going 13-14 245 yards and 1 TD. But in the end the fame and spotlight is back to Duke going 133 yards and 4 TDs. He is putting together a phenomenal junior campaign and added it with a big game today. These next couple of games are easier opponents and Duke may get some 2nd half rest leading into the end of the year.
Georgia hangs 49 points on the Warriors
ATHENS- The Georgia Bulldogs thump The Islanders and reminded them what the SEC was all about. The Dawgs jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead; 3 of which came through the air from UGA QB Christian LeMay. HB Todd Gurley lead the rushing attack with 134yds on 14 carries and 1 score. On defense, LB Josh Dawson had 8 solo stops to help his team improve to 8-2(5-2). Next up, Kentucky Wildcats!
Final Score: 49-3 DAWGS
WVU Squeaks By KSU
KSU jumped out and started scoring in the first quarter with a 13 yard QB sneek by Sams. WVU would respond back in the second quarter with a strong drive finished off with a 2 yard TD run by Blue. KSU would take the lead back right a way as they would storm down the field and get a TD with a 20 yard TD run by Robinson. 14-14 at halftime. The Mountaineers would have another good drive in the last couple minutes in the third. The drive would once again be finished off by Blue as he would punch it in from 1 yard out.

The 5th ranked Crimson Tide traveled to South Bend to face redwings8831 and his 3rd ranked Fighting Irish in a match-up that brings back memories of years gone bye. Two of the long standing tradition powers who have only meet on the field 7 times in over 100 years of football. The Irish currently leads the series with a 2-7 mark with the last meeting coming in the 2012 National Title game which he Crimson Tide won 42-14. This year the Alabama came into this game looking to get back into the National Title chase after losing to Miami in week 3 and the Irish were looking to secure their spot in the Title game. The Crimson Tide jumped out to an early 14-0 lead behind the running of Yeldon and the very accurate passing of McLeod but the Irish did not panic and responded with a TD of their own to cut the Alabama lead to 14-7 going into the 2nd period. In teh 2nd Qtr the Crimson Tide continued to control the game but the Irish defense would stiffen each time the Crimson Tide reached the red zone and Alabama was forced to settle to FGs as they increased their lead to 20-7 at the Half. In the 3rd Qtr the Irish scored to pull within 20-14 but the Crimson Tide again settled for a FG and a 23-14 lead going into the final period. In the 4th Qtr the Crimson Tide missed 2 FGs that could have put the game away. The last miss was with less than a minute to play with Alabama clinging to a 23-17 lead. But the Alabama defense stepped up and picked off the Irish on their first play and the Crimson Tide sealed the win.
