    Another Step Closer
Vikings move to 10-2 with 42-6 thrashing of the Eagles.

The Vikings would get up early on the Eagles and never look back. After a long drive to start the game off by the Eagle offense, the Vikings would hold them to a field goal. The Vikings would go on to score 28 unanswered points. A returned fumble and interception for scores plus a fumble recovery that set up excellent field position never gave the Eagles a chance in this one. Most of the starters were pulled at the end of the 2nd quarter and the youngsters started the 2nd half. Toby Gerhart did a great job rushing for 88 yards and 1 touchdown on just 12 carries. Jordy Nelson caught the Vikings' only touchdown pass on a 61 yard bomb. The Vikings are now one game away from clinching the division but have a huge game next week in Atlanta with G_T_G

Cam Scores go ahead TD to lead the Panthers to victory.

A day that didn't mean much for the Panthers turned into a true learning experience for the young QB. Not only did Cam Newton go the whole game without having a turnover, he also would scamper 74 yards for the game winning touchdown. The defense played sound fundamental football, and got some drive killing turnovers from the Colts. At 4-8 the Panthers keep their slim hopes alive in the NFC playoff race. [IMG]

Buccs QB Freeman had a rough day getting sacked 7 times, throwing a pick 6, and then breaking his forearm in a home loss. He is expected to miss the rest of the season with the injury.

    Tampa -

In week 13, two familiar foes squared off in a divisional matchup at Raymond James Stadium for their 2nd game in 3 weeks.

Although it was a brand new game, it had the same results as week 11. The Falcons dominated most of the game defensively and showed a good rushing attack that kept the Tampa defense off balance.

The D-line for the Falcons were attributed with 7 sacks unofficially and battered Josh Freeman all game long. His body could only take so much punishment before he suffered an injury. In the 4th quarter, he broke his forearm after taking a hit by DE Ray Edwards. He is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Atlanta's running backs carried the Falcons offensively. It seems that the new starter, Jacquizz Rodgers, is a perfect workhorse for this offense. DeMarco Murray has also produced comming in as the spell back and giving the offense a change of pace. Coach Mike Smith has been pleased with the new change on the depth chart.

"Both guys are helping the team immensely," said Smith. "Jacquizz is getting the dirty work done for us and protecting the football. DeMarco has been effective coming in for certain situations as well. I am happy with their production."

The Falcons improve to 9-3 on the year and look to continue fighting for a top seed in the NFC.
