The Tennessee Titans rolled into Cleveland riding a 3 game winning streak. The Cleveland Browns came off of a win in Baltimore. This was a game of chance, where the winner of the game would have a chance to keep their playoff hopes alive. Adding to the drama of the NFL, the 2 coaches are cousins and have not played against each other for 4 years, so everyone who watched the game, knew it was going to be a tight contest.
The Browns would win the coin toss, and defer until the 2nd half. The Titans first offensive drive would be a dud, as RB Jeremaih Banks could not get anything going on the ground forcing the Titans to punt the ball away. Cleveland would move the ball down the field before settling for a FG. Tennessee would come right back and match the FG with one of their own. The next Cleveland possession would end in a punt due to a dropped pass. Jake Locker would then throw 1 of his 5 interceptions, and Jaball Sheard would take it back to the house putting the Browns up 10-3. Immediately after that, the Titans drove deep into Clevland territory before Locker would throw another interception. Cleveland would throw up a desperation bomb to Greg Little, and he would catch the ball for a 63 yard touchdown putting the Browns firmly ahead by a score of 17-3 at halftime.
After halftime, RB Trent Richardson could still not get rolling and the Browns would punt. Tennessee would finally get into a rhythm on offense, and Locker would connect with Kendall Wright on a 86 yard touchdown to draw the Titans within 7. Cleveland would answer with a FG to make the score 20-10. The Titans would again march the field and cap off a long drive with a Jeramiah Banks 12 yard touchdown run to bring the score even closer. Cleveland would take the ball, and Brandon Weeden would gamble and throw the ball up to Greg Little with 1-on-1 coverage, he would tip the ball, and then finally come up with it in the endzone. It was one of the plays of the year. Tennessee would score again, but it was too little, too late.
