Vikings QB Christian Ponder threw 5 interceptions and got sacked frequently.

    - Atlanta, GA

In HK's game of the week, nearly everything went right for one team while nearly everything went wrong for the other.

Atlanta's secondary forced 6 interceptions combined between Christian Ponder and Joe Webb. They caught pretty much anything they could get their hands on and made the vikings quarterbacks pay for it on the stat sheet. Aaron Ross had 2 interceptions- both were returned for touchdowns.

Offensively, Matt Ryan didn't need to throw the ball too much with the large point margin in the second half. They relied on Jacquizz Rodgers who had a career game, running for 253 yards and 3 TDs on 20 attempts. He broke off a huge 82 yard run in the second quarter and a 55 yarder in the 3rd.

Hard Knocks rushing leader Adrian Peterson still managed to have a respectable game, finishing with 116 yard and 1 TD after he also went long on a 67 yard scamper in the 3rd quarter.

The Falcons improve to 10-3 and the Vikings fall to 10-3. Atlanta now finishes their season on the road, with the next 3 games scheduled in hostile territory. They face the Carolina Panthers in week 15.

    Titans Sweep Colts

In yet another interesting bout for Titans and Colts this game could turn out to be the victor of the South. With Jacksonville's loss things have opened for the Titans trying to make the playoffs back to back years. This would be an accomplishment for coach as he is going with the first year starter Jake Locker. 'A lot of things have been inconsistent on the offensive side, i'm just glad we have the Defense that we have to step up and play big' Rookie Timothy Mingley has played huge the past couple of weeks. Last week he had two early INT's vs Bengals and dropped a couple for the hat trick. This week same story but this time he took both of his INT's for TD's making him the easy player of the game. 'Mingley's presence is amazing, he is a monster at Safety, he actually reminds me a lot of Steelers Safety Troy P, because he is always around the ball making a play. Jake Locker didn't have to do much as Tennessee rush attack was on fire lead by CJ and followed up by Javon Ringer. A couple of injuries occured during the game and coach has made up his mind on putting a couple of people on IR and going to go grab a couple of players off of FA. Next week could seal the South as Tennessee travels to Jacksonville.

Newton leads his team to 2 straight victories.
The Carolina Panthers came into today's game with a slimmer of hope to make the playoffs, and quite frankly they are barely hanging in there. But their leader and QB Cam Newton will not let the Panther fans down. Newton threw for over 250 yards and rushed for an additional 89 yards in the win. The defense came up big with huge stops inside the redzone. Now Carolina will have 3 games left to determine the fate on their season.

Ravens win 9th in a row in historic fashion
    62-59 ravens
Ravens make historic 4th qt come back losing 59-28 with just over 5min left in the game.
The game started out as a shoot out as both teams struck quickly and ended the 1st quarter 7-7. The 2nd started out the same as the 1st with bengals take the lead with 50 yard pass to TE Thomas. Ravens answer with 41 yard pass to boldin. Bengals quickly answer with a kickoff return for a TD. Bengals gain som ground with an interception that set up a 24 yd Td to rookie Wr Bridge. The ravens came back on their next drive with a TD pass to Te Ed Dickson. The ravens would then force an intrecption that would look to at least give them 3 points but flacco would make the costly misktake and throw brian cushings way and it cost him (int cushing). This would set up a bengal FG that would basicly end the 1st half. 31-21 bengals.
Bengals got the ball to start the 2nd half and continued their scoring run with a 17 yd pass to Te Coffman. 38-21 bengals
Ravens would have to strike quickly if they wanted to stay in the game and did just that with a 62 yd pass to Torrie Smith. 38-28 bengals
Bengals would then score 2 more TDs to end the 3rd making the score 52-28
Bengals would agian get the first score of the 4th with a 9 yd pass to rookie bridge making the score 59-28 with 5:32 left in the game. Ravens looking for any form of life came with a 80 yd td pass to T.Smith (59-35 bengals). Still looking grim as the ravens would not go for an onside kick and just kicked it deep. This desision proved to be a good move and the 1st play on bengals possesion was a pick six to jimmy smith. 59-42 bengals 5:10 left. Ravens hopes of a comback looked even more grim when they could not recover onside kick. The ravens defense came alive after j.smiths pick six and forced another pick six to B.Pollard on the 1st play of the possesion . 59-49 bengals 5:00 left. Ravens would then kickoff deep with 5 mins left needing a big stop and thats just what they got but the punt was caught on their on 5. Needing 95 yards to score and down 10 ravens went to a play that gave them big yards earlier in the game that was a screen to rookie D.Washington who followed lead blocker blodin in for a 95 yd TD. Score was 59-56 bengals 4:23 left. The ravens defense would once more make a stop and give the ball back to the ravens with a little of 2 mins left. Ravens would get into FG range and became very catious and was forced to a FG that tied it up 59-59 37 secs left and would force OT. Ravens would get the ball to start and not give it back getting into FG range and after a big hit on ray rice coach decided not to chance and kicked the game winning 34 yd FG.

Rams Clinch Division With Statement Win
    Beat Heavily Favored Cowboys 31-27
Sam Bradford (R) leads the team to victory...for a change
    St Louis, Missouri
The Rams had this game circled from the beginning of the season. The team that knocked them out of the playoffs was coming into St Louis in Week 14, and while this wasn't dubbed as the GOTW, it was certainly a game that was worth the wait. Things didn't start out so well for the Rams, who started with the ball, but quickly coughed it up as FB Leonard Weaver was rocked after catching a 2nd down pass, leading him to fumble the ball which was recovered by Dallas. The Cowboys wasted no time making use of that great field position, as Michael Turner would eventually take it in from 3 yards out to give the visitors the 7-0 lead. The next Ram possession wasn't any better, as Bradford was rocked on back to back plays, forcing the Rams to punt from deep within their own endzone, and the Cowboys would add a 41 yard FG to make it 10-0 with 30 seconds left in the 1st quarter. Wanting to strike quickly, the Rams were able to catch the Cowboys on a blitz, leaving Burress with 1 on 1 coverage to the outside, as Bradford threw it to him in stride and he did the rest, juking the defender out of the way for a 73 yard touchdown which ended the quarter with a bang and woke up the home fans, 10-7 Cowboys after 1 quarter.
The Cowboys would start the scoring in the 2nd, as Felix Jones took a handoff to the right side, broke a tackle, and finished off his run with a showboat-type dive into the endzone, something the home fans, and the home team, did not take too kindly. Said Bradford after the game "I know that this game is something that should be fun, but after seeing Felix jump in the endzone like that, it lit a fire in me and the rest of the team, especially after hearing the crowd's reaction to it. We knew that we had to come out and deliver on offense to keep up with these guys"
And deliver they did, as the very first play from scrimmage on the ensuing drive, the Cowboys were again caught out on a big blitz, as Bradford stood tall in the pocket and took a big hit just as he threw the ball, which was snagged down by Lance Kendricks who was able to turn it into another big touchdown, this one a 80 yarder.
The Rams defense would come up with a big 3 and out before the offense would score once again, as Steven Jackson took it in from 6 yards out to give the Rams their first lead of the day, 21-17. With 10 seconds left in the half the Cowboys tried for one more play to end the half, but that ended in disaster as a Romo pass was intercepted by Jerome Murphy, who took it back 41 yards for the touchdown to give the Rams a huge break to end the half, giving them the 11 point lead at half, 28-17.
The 2nd half was much quieter than the 1st, as both teams tacked on a FG in the 3rd quarter as the Rams took their 11 point lead into the 4th. The Cowboys were able to add a TD with 3:20 left in the game on a drive that saw them go 2/2 on 4th down before Romo was able to find Miles Austion for a 13 yard touchdown. Down 5, with 3:20 left, the Cowboys elected to take the XP instead of going for 2, cutting the lead down to 4. They would never see the ball again as Bradford was able to complete a couple key passes and run the clock out as the Rams kept pace in the race for a 1st round bye in the NFC playoff picture.
    Player Stats: Rams
    QB: Sam Bradford - 18/20, 349 yards, 2 TDs, 152.0 rating
HB Steven Jackson: 9 carries, 27 yards, 1 TD
WR Plaxico Burress: 5 catches, 184 yards, 1 TD
TE Lance Kendricks: 5 catches, 98 yards, 1 TD
    Player Stats: Cowboys
QB Tony Romo: 19/28, 213 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
HB Michael Turner: 18 carries, 61 yards, 1 TD
WR Julian Edelman: 7 catches, 82 yards
TE Jason Witten: 4 catches, 48 yards

    Bears 41 Broncos 9
The Bears are, finally, on a roll. Winners of 5 of the past 6 games, the team that even team president MG called a "top-5 draft pick waiting to happen", the Bears are still in the race at 7-6. The mid-season trade sending Charles Tillman and Lawrence Timmons to San Francisco is starting to look like the trade of the year, as San Fransisco keeps losing and the Bears (along with the 2 young players they picked up in that deal) keep winning. One of the two players the Bears acquired in the deal, Tram Brock, had a pick 6 this afternoon. The other, Rash Crayton has had 3 sacks and a lot of tackles for the Bears in a reserve/special teams role for the team. Not to mention the 49ers also gave the Bears their #1 draft pick.
Jay Cutler has been on fire, and he torched his former team for 3 touchdowns on 15 for 20 throwing DESPITE being sacked 6 times. Matt Forte had a quiet but productive day as well, rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, as well as receiving 3 receptions for 16.
The biggest story has to be the defense, who have been a turnover machine the past couple weeks. Brian Urlacher had another interception, DJ Moore did as well. Where was this at the beginning of the year? "We needed to mesh, and we have. We aren't the best out there, but we are pretty damn good and we have a lot of veterans who don't give a damn who you are. We are going to hit you in the mouth" said veteran linebacker Lance Briggs, finishing with "We see you Minnesota. We coming for you. Bear Down."
