South Carolina fell into a 9-0 hole earlier, but fought back to take a 28-9 lead behind the arm of QB Stephen Garcia. The Gamecocks would give up a TD late, but it wouldn't be enough for the Tigers as USC hung on 28-16. Next week the Gamecocks host the Kentucky Wildcats in Columbia for another SEC tilt.

    Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
    Team Name Stat
    USC QB S. Garcia 10 of 17 for 226 Yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT

lol computer trying to option....They had 5 turnovers and I believe only 150 yards total...Underwood went out in the first and Wilson had a field day. He had 4 TD passes 1int, and one scramble for a 50 something yard TD. Only two passes they had a was a 93 yard td pass with three seconds left in the half (counting for almost 3/4 of their offense on one play...lmao) and a TD pass in the fourth against the backups.

Miss State hosts highly ranked and unbeaten LSU this week in Starkville...

Mississippi State is looking to get back on the right track after suffering a tough loss last week at the hands of South Carolina and Coach Cimmy.

Coach Hickersons interview after leading his team onto the field:

Sideline reporter: Coach, how has Tyler Russell prepared this week for his first start?

Coach: Well he has prepared real well, he has taken snaps with the 1's all year and has played with them em' during the games too, so I think he will do just fine.

Sideline Reporter: Thanks coach, good luck.

LSU wins the toss and will receive wearing white tops with yellow pants and helemt.

MSU will kick wearing maroon tops and helmets with white pants.

    LSU up 14 to 7 after 1...

Russell got hurt on first play of the game, missed 2 series but is back in now... Refl had about a 40 yard run in Russel's absence..

Miss State has ball at midfeidl to start second

going to the locker room LSU leads 17 to 10...

    halftime interview:

reporter: Coach, what did you see that you liked out there and what did you not like?

CH: Well, their defense is tremendous, so we have to be patient on offense and take what they are willing to give us in the second half, defensively I like what we are doing, we have to play 30 more minutes of inspired football just like we did there.

    reporter: Thanks, coach.

    CH: You bet ya.

great drive led by Tyler Russell to wind down the 3rd quarter leading to a touchdown to tie the game at 17 to 17 going into the 4th, it seems that State has almost completely abandoned their running game as it has been NON EFFECTIVE the entire game.

    UPSET CITY!

Miss State finishes off a beautiful drive led by Tyler Russell with 8 seconds left on the clock with a 6 yard strike from Russell to sophomore wide out Michael Carr for the game winning touchdown, 24-20.

Russell, the junior went 22 for 35 for 271 yards and avoided what cost Chris Relf the starting job, throwing interceptions. The running game was NON EXISTANT, minus the scramble from Relf early when Russell left the game for a series, Relf had the 1 carry for 34 yards and a score. Russell spread the ball around, throwing to 8 different peoople. Leading the way was junior Oneal Wilder who hauled in 6 catches for 82 yards.

    Coach Hickerson following the win:
"It is obviously a huge victory for us in the SEC west race, especially after losing last week to South Carolina, dropping another one this early would have been devastating we felt like.
