Jennings grows into a man, leads LSU to a win 36-33.
LSU scores 22 in the 4th quarter as they pull the biggest comeback of the year thus far. Down 27-14 as they entered the 4th, Anthony Jennings took full control of the team as he made the plays that needed to be made. Down 28-33, LSU finally got A&M to punt as Johnny Football had sliced and diced us through the ground and in the air.
Jennings finished the day 25 of 31 for 291 yards with 3 touchdowns and just 1 interception. A game they had desperately hoped he would pull off against Florida. The 12th man wasn't anywhere near as tough as the Swamp.
LSU's defense registered 7 sacks. Jermauria Rasco tied the in game record for 6 of those sacks. Tre'Davious White hauled in the game winning interception as JFB still had a shot to tie the game at 36.
LSU prepares for the game of the year. A battle with Alabama and Head Coach uagrad90
31 - 21
The Crimson Tide once again hit the road as they traveled to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Volunteers in the so-called trap game. Coming off the big win over then 3rd ranked Arkansas and looking at a pending date with 18th ranked LSU, the Crimson Tide was hoping not to overlook the 2 win Volunteers. After allowing an opening drive TD the Volunteer defense held the Crimson Tide to 3 points for the rest of the half and the Tennessee offense took advantage of a late Alabama turnover to pull to 10-7 at the half. In the 3rd Qtr the Volunteers took advantage of their late 1st half momentum and drove 80 yrads to start the 2nd half and suddenly Alabama found themselves behind 14-10 and in a dog fight. But the Crimson Tide returned to what they do best and used their offensive line to began to lean on the thin Volunteer defense and the Crimson Tide reclaimed the lead and put it away on the 4th Qtr as the Volunteers began to ruin out of gas.
Clemson Holds Off Pesky Wolfpack 31-26
The Tigers traveled to NC State and had all they could handle as the Wolpack no huddle kept the Clemson D off guard the entire game. Soph QB Chad Kelly of the Tigers continued to struggle as he threw 4 INT's. A huge TD run by soph HB Zac Brooks and a clutch TD catch by Freshman TE Jamie Wolf propelled the Tigers to the slim victory.
