Titans - 14 Panthers - 28 The Tennessee Titans strolled into Carolina looking to come up with another win against an NFC South opponent. After surprising the Saints with a big victory, TEN was looking to roll over the Panthers with their powerful running game. The Titan smashmouth attack did exactly what they set out to do on the ground. Rookie sensation and #1 overall pick, Jeremiah Banks showed his talent reeling off 148 yards on 15 carries. Fortunately for the Panthers, Banks was unable to find the end zone. The game went to the half at 14 a piece, but the Panthers were lucky to be in it. They depended on some costly turnovers by Jake Locker, who tossed 3 interceptions to stay in the game. However, Cam Newton had a terrible first half, tossing 3 interceptions of his own. Fortunately for Carolina, Cam Newton came alive in the 2nd half. After getting a stop after on Tennessee's first drive of the 3rd quarter, Newton found WR Steve Smith on a huge 73 yard touchdown strike. The Carolina defense bended, but didnt break and RB Jonathan Stewart snuck in from 1 yard out to go up 21-14. On the ensuing TEN possession, Locker would toss another interception to MLB Luke Kuechly. On the next play, Cam Newton faked the ball into the belly of Stewart, and used his slight of hand to fool the Titan defense on a read option. Newton stiff armed safety and raced 63 yards for the touchdown to ice the game. The Panthers move to 3-3 and head South to face the Texans in week 7. GG brizz98. Very fun game brother.
