#1 Florida State 27
#3 Miami 28
In a throwback to the 80s and 90s when both these teams were on top of the college football world , the Noles and Canes met with a #1 ranking on the line. Miami came out guns blazing with a 50+ yard Play action pass caught by Phillip Dorsett on the first play of the game. Miami would drive all the way down to the 1 and look to punch it in, but a great play by the FSU defense forced a fumble and kept the Canes off the board. FSU would then turn around with a masterful drive capped by a Jameis Winston rushing touchdown to take a 7-0 lead. Miami would go on to outscore the Noles 21-3 though headed into the 4th quarter with a 21-10 lead. FSU was undeterred though as they would score 21 points in the 4th quarter, but a 63 yard rushing TD by Duke Johnson with 5:18 in the 4th proved to be too much for the Seminoles to overcome as Miami would beat the #1 ranked Seminoles. GG Gravity I caught a few lucky breaks.
What a win!
