Jay Ratliff Celebration the Cowboy after Cowboys Clinch SuperBowl
Cowboys "Search for Six" Motto Continues
-Arlington,Tx Before the season started, Coach Petty made the prediction that the Vikings would win the SuperBowl this season. He didn't think he would have to face this dangerous team to reach the Super Bowl. The Vikings under Coach James Salas could be the most dangerous team in Hard Knocks with Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin leading the way. They beat the Cowboys out in the divisional round last season and while beating the Cowboys rival the Giants along with the #1 see Rams made them even more dangerous. We knew we had our hands full. Both teams played a hell of a game although Dallas caught some big breaks. Especially in the kick return game as Felix "the Cat" Jones lead them within the 10yd line twice. Adrian "All Day" Peterson was the key for Dallas Defense and they shut him down to under 100yds which really allowed the to grasp the victory. The Cowboys will head into the Super Bowl to either face the Denver Bronco or the Tennesse Titans. Hopefully they can win one for the NFC.

    Denver Broncos 31 - Tennessee Titans 27
    Nashville, TN

The 8-8 Broncos came in hot in the playoffs after losing 3 straight to end the regular season and upset the Titans. The Broncos took the opening drive down field, mixing up the run and the pass, when they gave it to the FB Honeycutt from 1 yard out for the opening TD, set up by a long run by Danny Woodhead. The Titans would answer back though, hitting Kenny Britt on a 61 yard strike to set up a 5 yard pass from Locker to Hall to tie the game at 7. But before the first quarter could end, the Broncos drove down field and Mark Sanchez found Brandon Lloyd on a 17 yard pass to put them back on top 14-7, and it was a lead they would never relinquish. Tennessee kicked a FG in the 2nd quarter and then Mark Sanchez threw his 2nd TD pass of the game to Knowshon Moreno to give the Broncos a 21-10 halftime lead.
The Titans got the ball to start the 2nd half, and it did not take them long to score. only 1 minute into the half, Chris johnson burst through the middle and ran it in from 19 yards away to cut the lead to 21-17. On the Broncos next possession, they would respond, taking some time off the clock and driving down field when Mark Sanchez found Eddie Royal over the middle and he ran it in from 39 yards out, 28-17. Again, the Titans would not go away, handing it off to their superstar Chris Johnson and he scored from 12 yards out to make it 28-24 at the end of the 3rd quarter. on the next Broncos play, Moreno was hit in the backfield and fumbled, which was recovered by the Titans and looked to be a scoop-and-score, but Mark Sanchez made the TD saving tackle to force the Titans offense to come out and try to punch it in. This tackle would turn out to be huge for the Broncos as their defense stopped the Titans, forcing a FG with 5:10 left to play in the game, making the score 28-27. The Broncos then ran the ball downfield, mixing in a couple pass plays, to get the ball to within FG range with just over 2 minutes left in the game, and Matt Prater would hit the 46 yarder to force the Titans to have to get a TD to win it. After a first down by the Titans, Jake Locker would throw an INT to basically end the game. The Broncos would kneel on it 3 times, but there was still 6 seconds left on the clock and they had to punt. However, the Titans returner was tackled at his own 4 yard line as time expired and the Broncos are moving on to the Super Bowl to represent the AFC!
