    Titans Win Big at Home
Titans playoff history consists of the first round spooks. Past 2 seasons Titans came in as a Division winner falling short to both Jets and Bengals. This season Titans worked hard for the first round bye letting them get the automatic bid to the second round. Eager to get the kickoff going Titans would get the ball first. The first drive looked to be stalled as Browns were stuffing the run, Titans would pick up a 3rd down on a wide open TE. Then after a couple more runs they would look deep for Kenny Britt who made a great catch and got it down to the 5 letting CJ punch it in. Browns would get the ball and were messing with Coaches head as he was always running away from the blitz, had to adjust really fast, settled into a zone and Barrett Ruud would pick it off taking it back 63 yards for a TD. In the second quarter Titans would come out passing and hit Nate Washington for 69 yards and a TD as he out ran everyone. Shortly after Chris Johnson would have a run to where he seemed stuffed at the line, after a few adjustments he found a hole up the middle bursting through it for a 50 yard TD run. Safety Timothy Mingley would pick it off as it looked Romo didn't see him there, the ball was thrown right to Mingley, and he took off for a 68 yard TD breaking a tackle and juking the QB to race to the endzone.
After the game Coach went on to say "we are very happy to be here, we look forward to the winner of Jets/Broncos."

Denver Broncos 20 - New York Jets 10

    East Rutherford, NJ

in the Divisional round, the Broncos faced an uphill battle travelling to the number 1 seed in the AFC, the New York Jets. The Broncos would come out on top, however, in a defensive battle which saw a total of 5 turnovers in the game. After a Tim Tebow interception set the broncos up deep in Jets territory, it would only take them a few plays to find paydirt as the FB Honeycutt ran it in from 1 yard out to make it 7-0. On the Jets next possession, they tried to setup a screen pass to Jonathan Stewart, but he was hit immediately and fumbled, setting the Broncos up with a 1st and goal from the Jets 5 yard line. On 3rd and goal from the 1, the Broncos would again give it to Honeycutt and he hit the endzone again to make it 14-0 Broncos early in the 2nd quarter. But the Jets would respond as they drove down the field and scored a TD on a 5 yard run by Hardy, cutting the lead in half with just over 2 to play in the half. mark Sanchez found his old teammates on the next possession, throwing a pick and setting the Jets up with a good scoring opportunity before the half. However, the Broncos defense held and forced a FG as time expired making the halftime score 14-10. After the Jets received the ball to start the 2nd half, they would go backwards and find themselves on their own 2 with a 4th and long having to punt, setting the Broncos up with good field position for their next drive. They took time off the clock and drove into Jets territory before having to kick a 48 yard FG with under 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The jets would have a decent drive before having to punt it back to the Broncos. The Broncos then ate up the clock, driving down field and forcing the Jets to use their remaining time outs. And with 1 minute left, Prater kicked a 27 yard FG to put the Broncos up 20-10 and having the game be pretty much out of reach.
