    Denver Broncos 19 - Dallas Cowboys 13
And the Denver Broncos are the Champions of the NFL! The Broncos barely got into the playoffs, but managed to get hot at the right time. They played a hard fought battle against the Cowboys in the Super Bowl, and the combination of good defense and ball control offense held the high powered Cowboys to just 13 points.
The Broncos stopped the Cowboys on their opening possession and worked their way down the field until the drive was stalled in the Cowboys red zone and they were forced to kick a FG. Dallas would answer, though, as their next drive worked them down to the Broncos 1 yard line, and had a 1st and goal. But 3 straight gives to Michael Turner were stuffed, leaving the Cowboys with only a FG to show for their nice drive, and the game was tied 3-3. Denver then drove back down the field and handed it off to Honeycutt from the 1 yard line for a TD to make it 10-3 with just under 2 minutes left in the first half. The Cowboys next drive then went 3-and-out and gave the Broncos the ball back with enough time to drive down and get Matt Prater in FG range to make the halftime score 13-3.
With the Broncos receiving to start the second half, they wanted to get a score to keep some of the pressure off, and they did so by kicking a FG after a 5 minute drive to make it 16-3. but the Cowboys struck fast, which is what the Broncos Defensive Coordinator was worried about, as Ryan Mallett hooked up with Dez Bryant on a 63 yard bomb as time expired in the 3rd quarter to make it 16-10 entering hte final quarter of play. The Broncos needed to score again to make it a 2 score game, and so they drove down field, hitting Virgil Green down the right sideline and he broke a tackle and ran all the way down into Cowboys territory. But the drive stalled there and the Broncos had to settle for another Prater FG, making the score 19-10 with 4:14 left in the game. The Cowboys then got into hurry-up mode and drove down the field quickly, but their drive was stopped and they had to kick a FG to make it a 1 score game at 19-13. With all 3 of their timeouts and the 2-minute warning still, the Cowboys elected to kickoff deep to the Broncos, hoping for a stop on defense and giving them better field position for the win. But they would not see the ball again as the Broncos offense pounded the rock and got 2 key first downs before taking a couple knees to seal the victory.
