Carolina pulls away from Broncos 50-25
The Panthers of Carolina took returned to Bank of America stadium to take on the AFC West Denver Broncos. After a rough start, the Panthers took control of the game in the 2nd half to pull out a 50-25 win. The Cats were once again led by their speedy defense who forced 4 interceptions by Bronco QBs. The Panthers have really improved in this area, becoming one of the top teams in the league in creating turnovers.
Cam Newton led the way offensively, going 16-20 for 213 yards, 2 TDs/2 INTs; 9 car 103 yards, 2TDs. Newton plugged a dagger into the Broncos on the last play of the 1st half, running over a safety, then running away from the rest of the secondary for a 88 yard TD run. The Broncos fought to the very end, going into hurry up mode in the 4th quarter, but veteran Chris Gamble's pick 6 would seal the game for the Panthers. Carolina travels to the West Coast to face the Oakland Raiders next week.
