    Niners Dispatch Seattle
    defeat Seahawks 35-7

San Francisco took care of business on its trip to the Northwest, upping their mark to 8-4 in the process.

The visiting Niners opened the scoring early as WR AJ Jenkins was left uncovered down the middle of the field as he sprinted 78 yards for a touchdown, giving the visitors a 7-0 lead. Seattle would respond, methodically driving the length of the field, catching the Niners defense out of position at times, including on the tying touchdown. Nevertheless, San Francisco regained the lead on a short TD run by HB Cedric Shepherd on the ensuing drive. The teams would continue to trade possessions, with Seattle getting one final opportunity to score before halftime. Yet, disaster struck for the Seahawks, as Russell Wilson threw an ill-advised pass that was intercepted by CB Chris Culliver who returned the pick for a touchdown with a mere five seconds left in the half.

Nursing a 21-7 halftime lead, the Niners leaned on their running game and the occasional pass in the second stanza. The ball control offense produced results as the Niners added two more touchdowns to put the game away 35-7. Shepherd, who took over for veteran Frank Gore three weeks back, continued his stellar play, eclipsing the 100 yard mark for the second consecutive game. In Aldon Smith's absence, OLB Parys Haralson filled in admirably, notching two sacks and four tackles.
