Minneapolis, MN - The Vikings & Bears came into their Week 2 match-up having started out their 2014 campaigns on much different notes. The Bears were coming off of an impressive victory over the Jags, while the Vikings had just lost their second straight game versus the defending Super Bowl champion Washington Redskins.

The game started off well for the Vikings. QB Jay Cutler would throw his first pass into a Viking defender hands, and newly-acquired ROLB Gary Guyton would return it to the Chicago 1-yard line, where Adrian Peterson would punch it in to put the Vikings up 7. After a 3-and-out by the Bears on their next drive, the Vikings would move the ball back down the field with ease, with an identical result - another 1-yd TD run by AP. The Bears would respond, however, as Matt Forte would rumble 56 yards to paydirt late in the 1st quarter. Score after 1 - 14-7 in favor of MN.

The second quarter began with a 45-yard FG from K Blair Walsh. A punt by the Bears was followed by an INT by Mike Jenkins as he jumped a go route on the left sideline. The Bears would capitalize on the turnover, and Jay Cutler would find rookie TE Miles Hall for 6 on 3rd and goal. The Vikings would end the half by working their 2-minute drill offense into FG range for 3. Score at half: 20-14 in favor of MN.

The third quarter was all Minnesota, as they built a 16-point lead behind Adrian Peterson and a goal line stand. With time running out on the Bears, they were able to cut the lead to 10 with 3:08 remaining, but WR Brandon Marshall dropped a wide open pass in the end zone on the 2-point conversion that could have made it a 1-score game.

    Final Score:
    Minnesota: 30
    Chicago: 20

gg Craig Brown - with the addition of you to this division, I think a strong case could be made for this being the toughest division in TLY!

TE Kyle Rudolph - 5 catches, 93 yds
