Titans complete Sweep of Jaguars 23-14
Titans and Jaguars always a good match of similar teams that like to run and like to play D. These teams no matter the record will always play tough against each other. Titans came into the game with a kickoff and LB Spencer Adkins came flying down the field and laid the ka-boom down on Jags return man causing him to fumble and it was a scoop and score after that. 6 seconds TD, it would take a strong coach to bounce back. Next drive Jags would throw an interception only to be fumbled away right after the catch. Believe Gabbert scooped it up and got some extra yardage. Jags would continue with the drive as if that play never happened and capped it with a TD. Titans Chris Johnson would soon after take off up the middle untouched for 61 yards to make it 14-7. Soon after Jags RB MJD would counter with an 80 some yard TD run. Coach said the game was back and forth made it very fun. In the end it was FG's and Defense from the Titans to complete the game with them in favor. Including a 54 yard FG, this young kicker has a future here unless he asks for 5 million a year.

BROWNS CONTINUE TO ROLL, BEAT DOLPHINS 38-20
    [IMG]

MIAMI, FL -- With both Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson out with injuries, the Browns would need another wide receiver to step up. For this game, that receiver was third year wideout Greg Little. Little was a nightmare for the Dolphin Secondary. He would catch 5 receptions for 117 yards and a TD shown here -

Tony Romo continued to play at a MVP level passing for 213 yards and 4 touchdowns on 15-24 passing.

Other highlights - Noel Devine's injury lead to LT getting some additional carries including thie 40 yard TD run to put the Browns up 38-13.

    Up next -

Ponder Starting To Turn It Around?
Vikings cruise to a 38-7 win over Seahawks.
The Minnesota Vikings jumped out to a 21-0 lead on the Seattle Seahawks and never looked back. No AP? No problem, the Vikings are finally starting to adapt well without AP. Chris Ivory finished with 175 yards on 18 carries and 2 touchdowns. Toby Gerhart added some punching power when Ivory got tired. Gerhart ran 7 times for 48 yards. Christian Ponder settled down today and had 1 incompletion. He ended up 12/13 for 172 yards and most importantly 2 touchdowns to 0 interceptions. Justin Tryon and Antoine Winfield intercepted Charlie Whitehurst twice and Tryon ran it back for 6.

    Ravens still suck

Well I havent won in so long i figured i would do a recap on my lastest lost.
After Ravens may skins stuggling qb look like a hall of famer last week they knew Rivers was going to eat their lunch. But he had a 5 course meal against the ravens secondary. The score is alot closer to the game was. Ravens got the ball to start and with a nice 14 yd run by ray rice was capped of with a fumble giving rivers the ball at the ravens 15. This was foreshadowing to what this game would end up. Next possesion Flacco would throw a pick and from there on out it was uphill climb for ravens.

Falcons come out on top in classic shootout

    Atlanta 40 - New Orleans 35
    [IMG]
    BEAST BROTHERS
Julio Jones (left) finished the game with 208 yards receiving and Roddy White (right) finished with 195 yards.
    Atlanta -
This week's matchup between division rivals in the NFC south turned into an offensive explosion for both sides through the air.
Both team's quarterbacks finished with 4 TDs and over 300 yards passing. The receivers on both sides got plenty of action also. 3 WRs in the game each finished with over 180 yards receiving (Jones, White, and Green).
In what seemed to be the turning point in the game, the Falcons blocked a New Orleans punt as they attempted to punt from their 1 yard line. The block went into the back of the end zone for the safety. This momentum shift seemed to give the Falcons enough fuel to hold onto the victory in one of the wildest games of the season.

Carolina inches closer to a playoff berth!

The Panthers survived the Chiefs at home in a RAIN free game. Shocking right? ... It was another huge game for DeAngelo Williams as he scored three Touchdowns. The defense would also force four turnovers. 37-34 was the final. Great game Pitt! You will fit in well in HK, I was very impressed.

I have never gotten that many yards either but I got lucky in some deep balls. He kept movin the safety up so I went over the top.

And for his yards on me - AJ Green was molesting Brent Grimes.

    Denver Broncos 14 - Oakland Raiders 7

    Denver, CO

This was a defensive battle, or an offensive struggle, however you want to look at it. It was ugly, but the Broncos came out on top and remain in 1st place in the AFC West.

After the Broncos forced a Raider punt, the Broncos took their opening possession down the field, but were stopped when Mark Sanchez threw an INT. The Raiders then took the ball down the field and Pryor found Jacoby Ford wide open for a 39 yard TD pass to give the Raiders a 7-0 lead. Denver would answer right back in the 2nd quarter, as Knowshon Moreno led them down the field, and Fred Jackson punched it in from 2 yards out to tie it back up. And that is where the score stood at the half.
Denver received the opening kick in the 2nd half, and marched down the field, taking up almost the entire 3rd quarter before Sanchez found Brandon Lloyd on a slant route for a 27 yard TD pass, Denver was up 14-7. After both teams had to punt, the Raiders had the ball deep in their own territory when Michael Bush fumbled the ball and Von Miller recovered, giving the Broncos a great scoring opportunity and to put the game possibly out of reach. After a number of carries took them down inside the Raiders 10 yard line, Moreno fumbled giving the Riaders the ball back and giving them hope. The Raiders got a few first downs, but then had to punt with 2:10 left and they had all 3 of their timeouts. The Broncos got a couple of first down runs by Moreno, and ran the clock out sealing the victory.

    Stats:

    Passing:
    M. Sanchez (DEN) - 8/12 for 158 yards 1 TD 1 INT
    T. Pryor (OAK) - 6/11 for 110 yards 1 TD

    Rushing:
    K. Moreno (DEN) - 30 for 145 yards 1 fumble lost
    M. Bush (OAK) - 9 for 17 yards 1 fumble lost

    Receiving:
    B. Lloyd (DEN) - 5 for 100 yards 1 TD
    L. Murphy (OAK) - 2 for 41 yards
    J. Ford (OAK) - 2 for 59 yards 1 TD

    Player of the Game:
    Knowshon Moreno

Close game for the first 14:50 turned into a blowout in the second half. With the Bears leading 10-9 with under a minute remaining in the first half, Jay Cutler saw a streaking Steve Smith wide open. Cutler hit Smith in stride and the Bears never looked back, taking the 17-9 lead at halftime. The second half was scoreless in the third, with both offenses trying to run the ball. The fourth saw the Bears Corey Wootton sack Matthew Stafford in the north endzone for the safety. The Bears would later add a rushing touchdown by Matt Forte to take the 17 point lead.

'Skins Ride Running Game, Defense toRare Road Win at Cincinnati
Some good running by Eluzies Wells, coupled with timely turnovers by the Defense, allowed Washington to escape Paul Brown Stadium with a much too rare road victory this past Sunday. Just when it seemed that Wells, the early season uber-rookie and shoo-in for ROTY, had lost his legs in his first full NFL grind of a season, the rookie seemed to wake up and begin to woo back those who were ready to anoint him in Week 3. Weels toted the rock 26 times and came away from the game with 137 yards on the ground to go with two rushing TDs. The Redskins took a 14-7 lead following the first of Well
s scores and never looked back.
After giving up a 1st quarter TD, the Redskins defense kept the Bengals bottled-up and seemingly confused for the rest of the afternoon and allowed only 43 yards rushing on 10 Bengal carries. LaRon Landry continued his recent spate of acting as a one-man turnover machine in this game, and when the final whistle blew, Landry was credited with 4 tackles, 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble. The Redskins held the Bengals to just 201 yards of total offense, but more importantly, their play allowed for a conservative offensive gameplan which, in turn, allowed Matt Hill to manage turnovers and ultimately made this win possible for the 'Skins.
The Redskins coach said, "It is pretty simple. When we win the turnover battle, we win football games. This defense is as good as any out there, but they have endured the maturation process of a young quarterback for these last two years - - and believe you me - - it has not been easy for these guys. Our defense has realized that creating turnovers allows the team to manage Hill's inevitible turnovers each game. It appears that the turnovers for our offense and defense are inversely proportional - - D turns it over, O turns it over less - - D fails to turn it over, O gives it away 5 or 6 times/ Go Figure."
The Bengals were able to answer the first TD scored by the Redskins in the 1st quarter, but simply disappeared until adding a late FG in the 4th quarter due to a combination of miscues and stifling defense. To be fair, the game was a bit of a "trap" game for the division leading and likely playoff bound Bengals, as the 'Skins had managed only 4 wins entering the game. Not helping matters for the team was the Head Coach's unabashed public announcement that he would be taking some time off to recharge his batteries for a playoff run and that preparation and game planning for the Redskins game would fall to trusted assistants. While it is not uncommon for a Head Coach to step away for some off time during a season, such in-season absences are usually downplayed in the press at least and usually go unnoticed. However, the Bengals media relations team chose to issue a press release which made nearly every publication in the country. The Redskins denied that such open publication motivated the team to a higher level and insisted that this game had been circled on the calendar since the season started. Landry was quoted as saying, "Anytime you get to play a team that has climbed that pinnacle, you are motivated more than usual. We knew that we could play with these guys and want a ring for ourselves." Also, the Redskins were not harmed by the insight into the Bengal's schemes provided by LBs Keith Rivers and Ray Maluaga, two Bengals traded to the Redskins in the offseason for the number 1 overall pick. That trade has certainly made the 'Skins defense better. You may also remember Eluzies Wells was selected with the Bengals #25 pick which was also part of the consideration tendered by the Bengals for the first pick.

Emmdotfrisk (All in good fun. Was actually looking forward to seeing the stick skills that are a thing of fable and legend. Have a good vacation dude.)
