Week 2 would see Dallas traveling to the east coast to face the Eagles. After a close home victory against Atlanta, the Cowboys would try to get their plans for a divisional championship off to a good start with a tough road win. Things started slow for Dallas. Daniel Romeo would throw an ill advised pic. The kid still has not learned to put enough touch on the ball. With 97 throwing power, you have to really learn how to finesse the ball. The Eagles capitilized and took an early 7-0 lead. For a moment, it looked to be a tough NFC East grudge match. Both teams struggled a bit to do anything else until mid 2nd qtr. The Cowboys DeMarco Murray started getting loose again. After a dominant week 1 performance he again showed why he could be the most underrated HB in TYL. Behind this new offensive line, he has been able to find the holes and today would be no different. Romeo would captain the ship once again and not make any more big mistakes to hurt his team. He made throws when he needed to and used his legs to keep the Eagles honest on defense. Demarco Murray and the Cowboys defense would do the rest. Damarco would end up with 124 yards and 4 TD's. Dallas would only give up 59 yards rushing in another outstanding performance by the front 7. The secondary would also shine today as Mo Claiborne would pick off two passes and stifle the young Philly QB. With no running game, Philadelphia was forced to throw into the teeth of a stout defense prepared to stop the pass. It did not end well. After 38 unanswered points, the Eagles fans stood in the ashes of their 1st qtr lead and wondered if going with a rookie QB was the answer. All they need to do is look across the field to see what can happen for Jared Myers with some experience and improvement. Dallas moves to 2-0 with a 38-7 victory over Philly.
