The Tar Heels continued their early season winning streak by topping Penn State 21-16.

On a side note I would like to say good job to all the coaches for getting their week 2 games done quickly. Around TF it seems as if OD's are slowing down, but together we can keep this thing going and be an example of what a great dynasty is...good job men!

Baton Rogue, LA- Yes, that bad. The LSU Tigers started their SEC conference start with a 49-0 win against Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Tigers absolutely dominated on defense forcing 3 turnovers, and had a goal line stop in the second quarter, and stopped a fake punt actually bringing the total turnover count to 5 unoffically.

Speaking of defense, LSU had their way with Mississippi State's option attack, holding them to just 103 yards on offense...and keep in mind State played against LSU's second stringers in the entire second half. Yes, the defense is that good.

On offense, the Tigers are still trying to find their identity. Jarrett Lee was 9/18 2TD 2INT 161 yards. Both INTs came in the first quarter. After that Jarrett started to calm down.

"Jarrett played a decent game. He was pulled at halftime, and I think his numbers definitely would have been great if he played the entire game. He's our guy" - Coach Paw after the game

But it wasn't Lee that drove the LSU offense, no. It was the rushing game. The LSU Tigers showed off 4 different runners. Second string power back, Spencer Ware had the best game. 16 att. 114 yards. 2TD. Michael Ford, the starting halfback had a good game in the first half as well, 14 att 67yards 2 td. Third stringer, Brandon Worle also found some holes in relief as he had 2 carries for 35 yards.

"We play South Carolina next week, and we have a lot of recruits coming in. We will need to put on a good show for them, and play well. You always have to excute well when you're playing against the Gamecocks"

    FSU Drops to OU.

In a very tightly contested game, OU outlasted Florida St 21-12.

The Crowd was very Loud the whole game and made things a bit difficult for FSU. FSU got the ball and was SOD then OU got their chance as they drove the ball down and Parham threw a Td to Reynolds for a 7-0 OU lead. Fsu tried to get back into it, but the offense struggled to hear most of the game. They did get a decent drive down and fizzled around the 30 yrd line, so they decided to kick the fg and Hopkins nailed a 50 yarder and Ou still held a 7-3 lead. then the seminoles D held OU to a 3 and out and the seminoles got the ball back. Secord tried to get the team down for a TD, but again the Drive fizzled around the 25 yrd line. Hopkins then nailed a 47 yard FG and Ou held a slim 7-6. Then Ou then took the ball 2nd half and did one thing the whole drive, they ran the ball and drove it to the 2 yrd line of FSU's. Then Parham punched it in for a 14-6 Ou lead. Despite the running game taking off for FSU, the passing offense failed to click for the big play. Osborn continued to struggle with the crowd noise as he finished with a modest 4-13 for 62 yrds. his backup Trickett came in and provided a little spark, but the Ou defense continued to make things difficult for the seminole offense. Ou then drove the ball down in the 4th Quarter and Parham connected with Wr Stills and a 21-6 Ou lead. Florida St did finally get into the end zone as Trickett connected with shaw for the 4 yrd Td pass. FSU went for 2 but failed to convert. Ou still held 21-12 lead. Then FSU went for the onside and failed to get the ball back. Ou then ran out the clock as the won the game 21-12.

CoachGrad had this to say afterwards "well what can u expect our guys couldn't hear each other all game long. My Congrats to OU they played a great game".

    #7 Miami- 35 #16 Arkansas- 21

The Hurricanes used their ball control offense and another strong defensive performance to defeat the Razorbacks at home. RB Mike James, filling in for the injured Storm Johnson, rolled up 130 yards and 3 td's. A troubling trend has developed for Miami though as Arkansas scooped up two fumbles and returned them for scores, this after the points they gave up last week was in a similar fashion. Dominance on third downs and in time of possession though have made up for these miscues.

Yeah I would say so, their qb couldn't be stopped he only missed 4 passes the entire game. I was like "Whatever". but a 21-12 loss is better then getting blown out.

Can't get the upload program to work but here is a quick game summary.

    Week 3:

    UGA @ South Carolina

Columbia, S.C.- Georgia came into William-Brice Stadium today with something to prove. They were coming off a tough 35-28 OT loss to Clemson and returned to the state of South Carolina and proved they were the better team today. Georgia started the game by driving down the field on their first drive and scoring a touchdown. Ealey took a pitch to the right and scored easily.
In the second quarter, Ace Sanders scored on a quick 2 yard reception for USC. That would be all the scoring for them in this game. UGA added scores from T. King (34 yard rec.), Orson Charles (24 yard rec.), and TE C. Brooks (3 yard rec.). At the end of the 4th Georgia let their freshman kicker try his first ever collegiate field goal (37 yards) and it was a success!

    Georgia Wins 31-7

After a disapointing performance in its first game, the Oregon Ducks have earned two solid wins over Viriginia Tech and Arizona State. Arizona State scored first against the Ducks with 22 yd TD pass. The Ducks however scored 45 consecutive points to put the game away. Kenjon Barner had another strong game and led the Ducks with 135 rushing and 3 TDs despite playing only 2.5 quarters. The Ducks have a bye next before traveling to Stanford.

Go to the website and hit the PrntScrn key(usually beside your F12 key). Go into paint or other imaging software. Go to edit -> Paste. Then crop out what you don't want. Save the file anywhere on your computer. Go to imageshack.us or make an account on photobucket and upload that file. It will give you a link after you upload it. [IMG]

    Week 3 Matchup FSU-BC

Florida St gets the Frustrations out 35-7!

Well, it does not pay to Tick off FSU or their Coaching Staff, as FSU rolled Boston College 35-7. BC got the ball after KO and after stuffing a run, BC's QB got hit and threw a whobbly pass that was picked off by the OLB Jones and returned it 22 yrds for the TD and a FSU 7-0 lead. Then after a BC punt, FSU had a good drive going when Osborn thew a INT in the end zone, Coachgrad was absolutly pissed as he ripped Osborn and benched him for the game. Trickett then came in a provided a big boost as he went for the game 13-16 for 208 and 3 td's. but FSU then came out throwing as Trickett's passes found their receivers as FSU connected on a 17 yrd td pass for a TD and 14-0 lead. Then BC found life as they moved the ball down the field and on 4th and G, BC's rb found the end zone and the lead was trimmed to 14-7 FSU. Momentum seemed to be with BC, But FSU then unleased their 1:00 min offense and drove it down to BC 10 and then Trickett threw to Rawlins for a TD before the Half and a 21-7 lead.

2nd Half started with FSU with the ball and started another drive, but lost it on a fumble. BC then did nothing with their drive and punted. FSU then mixed run and pass and Trickett connected with Shaw for 28 yrds and a 28-7 lead. BC mostly was reduced to pass and the Def brought the pressure forcing 2 fumbles and 3 sacks on BC's QB.

Then in the 4th FSU closed out the scoring with Thompson (who finished with 127 yrds and 1 td) who ran it in from 3 yrds out and a 35-7 lead. BC tried to drive the ball and was turned away by the Def. FSU then ran out the clock with 1:13 left on the clock.

FSU improves to 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in the ACC.

    Stanford 56 - Arizona 32

Josh Nunes had another stellar performance in leading #21 Stanford past Arizona 56-32. For a game that started out very slow with neither team scoring in the 1st quarter, it quickly became a track meet in the 2nd half.

Nunes once again led the offense outburst with 471 yds. passing and 5 TDs on only 24 completions. The Arizona defense was over matched the entire game, and could never slow down Nunes and company. Heisman candidate Stepfan Taylor rushed for 122 yds. and 2 TDs to give the Cardinals a good 1-2 punch through the air and on the ground.

The game was relatively boring going into halftime with Stanford up 14-3, but it turned into quite a seesaw battle in the 2nd half. Stanford would score to go up a couple TDs and then Arizona would comeback and score to cut into the lead. The knock out punch for Stanford was a 3rd down and 8 completion to WR Patterson that he turned into a 40 yd. TD to give Stanford the 49-32 lead. After holding Arizona and forcing a punt, Stanford blocked the punt for a TD to finish off the scoring and resulting in a final score of 56-32 (First time I've ever blocked a punt in my 13 yr. career playing NCAA Football, it was beautiful...for some reason there was no highlight, I was so pissed).

Coach Ticketp1 talked after the game, "Once again our offense was tremendous. Nunes is a fantastic leader for our football team on and off the field. He's really turning into a fine QB with the performances he's had so far this year. I thought the backs and receivers did a great job, and I can't say enough about our offensive line. We've got some seniors up there that are taking it upon themselves to dominate games. For as good as we've been offensively, we've been equally as bad defensively so far. Our linebackers and d-line have been terrible and they aren't making any plays. We're going to have to get back to basics of getting off blocks and hitting somebody this week if we want to make any noise in the tough Pac-10. We've got a tough trip to South Bend next week and will need to keep up the offensive production to win."
