    ULL 6 - UCF 52

Sometimes you justa have one of those games where everything goes your way. Offense is clicking, defense is dominating and special teams is butter. This was the case as Lousiana Lafayette came to town to visit the UCF Knights. The Knights were riding high after their close win over the Gators last week. That mometum seem to carry into this weeks game.

ULL received to start the game and were quickly denied and forced to punt. The Knights on their first series started the scoring off with a 62 yard strike to Joshua Reese. The ball would exchange sides a few times before UCF was able to score on a Brandon Davis 8 yard run. On the start of the following ULL series, UCF forced a fumble which was returned by DT Brandon Bryant. The Knights would force the Cajuns to quickly go 3 & out again. Punting to WR Quincy McGuffie proved to be a mistake as he would take it 71 yards for the score. That is 21 points in 1:31!!! Two more TD's and a FG would have the Knights up 45-3 at the half.
Second half was second string time. The Knights managed to score again on a busted pass play and the 2nd team team only allowed another FG.

The Knights, 2-0, start off their conference season with an away game at their Rival, Marshall.

The good thing about bye weeks is no loses. After a 49-42 game against Marshall we needed it.

Sorry about the restarts first off. Found out that I had a few thumb prints (kids) on the disc and it caused freezing the first time and the second time I didn't even get past the game loading screen.

First off let me say that the Longhorn were tough. Their Heisman candidate RB was a monster who normally would shrug off 2-3 Mustangs before scoring or going down. Their WRs were so fast that they could out run my DBs in cover 4. So how did the Mustangs pull it off you may be wondering?

The Mustangs mixed it up. They made awkward adjustments on D and played very soft coverage while getting mild pressure with the front 4.

The offense also mixed it up as RB Zach Line was able to generate a 100 yard day with a TD. QB Kyle Padron threw for 400+ yards and 2 TDs for a rating of 200+ completing 27 of 31 passes. Darius Johns catches 14 passes for 200+ yards and 2 TDs (a school record) and captures player of the game for the 2nd week in a row.

On a side note, Kyle Padron, a 3 year starter, is now the most prolific passer in SMU history.

The Defending MAC Champs No-Huddle offense was too much for the Midshipmen. Coming off an another spectacular performance last week against Duke, CMU advance to 2-0 in the season after an 52-21 victory. senior QB ryan Radcliff had td passes of 53,71, 50. RB Malik Reed would contribute to 2 on the ground.

Next week CMU host big brother #11 Michigan State @ 2pm ESPN U
