Streak intact!Carolina moves to 6-0 after beating Atlanta at home, 20-14
The Carolina Panthers had an extremely tough task today, facing the Atlanta Falcons and coach GTG. The game started off great for the Panthers when they jumped out to a 17-0 lead that would last until late in the third quarter. But GTG and the Falcons never quit and would make the game interesting by cutting the lead to 17-14 with 4 mins to go in the game. Key defense would help the Falcons crawl back into it, but a huge drive by the Panthers at the end would all but ice the game. The running game was completely shut down, but Cam was able to find his wideouts today, throwing for nearly 260 yards. GG GTG..looking forward to our next.
B-WARE, Dallas Improves Record to 4-2!!!!
GG Bob - this is your year.
DEFENSE IN THE DESERTBears stop Cardinals offense in low scoring battle17-10 The Bears traveled to Arizona this week and found themselves in a defensive battle against the 3-2 Cardinals at University of Phoenix stadium. The Cardinals had a long, hard-fought drive go for not to start the game as Quentin Jammer picked off Kevin Kolbs pass for his second interception of the season. The Bears and Cardinals would then trade 3 and outs. The Bears finally put together a drive and Jay Cutler, with amazing protection from his offensive line, eventually found Brad Cottam on a curl route in the red zone. Cottam, with no Cardinals close to him, would then leap into the endzone in a flashy 360 for the 11-yard touchdown. The Cardinals took exception that and defensive captain Adrian Wilson traded some words with Cottam in the endzone. The Cardinals would put their own drive together, culminating with a 16-yard touchdown run by Ryan Williams to tie the game. The Bears would respond and drive down the field to hit a field goal with :03 seconds left to take the 10-3 lead into halftime. Second half was more of the same as neither team scored a touchdown until the fourth quarter. With the game tied 10-10, Jay Cutler and the Bears put together a solid drive. Cutler was money, and he found Steve Smith (non-Carolina Steve Smith) on a deep ball for a 26-yard touchdown that saw Smith spin away a defender in the process. It was a spectacular score, and probably Jay Cutlers best throw of the day. With the score 17-10 with 4 minutes left in the game, the Bears defense hunkered down. With Arizona again driving in Bears territory, it was the rookie corner Detchauz Settle who made the play. On what looked like a curl our an out route (not exactly sure) Kolb threw the ball to Fitzgerald, who was seemingly open. Settle burst in front of Fitz and they both struggled for the ball, but Settle came down with it and the interception. It was a huge play for a rookie out of Eastern Oregon who not many have heard of before this years NFL Combine. It reminded Bears fans of another rookie corner, Charles Tillman, taking the ball from Randy Moss in the endzone all those years ago.... Coach Lovie Smith had this to say after the game... "Big, big win for us today. First of all, like at the end of every game, I want to congratulate the opposing team for a hard fought game and a great effort. The Cardinals are a very good team, they have very good fundamentals and their coach knows what he is doing. This was not an easy win. That being said, I gave the game ball in the locker room to the defensive line for stopping Arian Foster. That was our goal, that was our gameplan on defense. We needed to close up the middle of the field and keep Fosters yards down. We recognize how great of a runner he is and we didn't want him to beat us. Our secondary did a good job today disguising our coverages and I thought all of our corners and safeties had outstanding games. We are not quite where we want to be at 3-3, but we have finally dug ourselves out of the hole we jumped into at 1-3 to start the year. Now that we are at .500, we can look up and see the skys not falling and continue to work hard at get better. We will take this week to rest and enjoy our bye, and we will be right back at it week 8 against the always tough Seahawks" GG sdid22 , I enjoy defensive games.

Jets Win Again with New Look Offense!
Well, the team didn't do anything that hasn't been seen before.....they ran the ball and played solid defense. Newly acquired QB Kyle Orton did in one game what it took Tebow 5 to do.......Throw a Touch Down Pass! Orton didn't look the sharpest in the game, but attempted to make those down the field passes Tebow was reluctant to attempt. The defense forced Mr. Tom Brady to throw 5 ints on the day, which help the offense overcome their average , but improving passing game. Rookie HB Octvious Hardy lead the charge for The Jets, rushing 106yds on 6 carries including a late 93yd td run in the fourth that sealed the victory for his team. The Jets run defense played solid allowing just 42 yds on 12 attempts (20 of which came from Tom Brady) in the game. The win improves the Jets to 4-1 on the season.
Titans Win Big on the Road
Titans started the game off right when an interception by Finnegan would set up a Chris Johnson TD run. He would then bounce back and get a 40 yard screen pass on a 3rd and 10 bringing the Titans to a 14-0 run. Titans put up 42 points but no player stats were really outstanding on the offensive side today. It was all set up by some great defense today. They forced a total of 5 interceptions. All of which would set up points on the other side. Locker played smart during the game having no turnovers and making smart throws. We had some dumb throws but let's be honest, no Lockers fault and more on the guy controlling him. Colston had a couple of dropped passes one of which would have been a huge gain and the other was short but he was targeted 3 times and caught 1.
