    FSU shuts down Wake 24-3!

With CoachGrad back on the sidelines FSU came back to life as they shut down the Deacons Offense 24-3.

FSU started with the ball to open the game as Secord was hoping to erase last weeks 3 int performance vs the rival Hurricanes, The seminoles controlled the ball with running and passing as it led to a 21 yrd fg by hopkins and a 3-0 FSU Lead. Wake did nothing on their next drive and was held on downs. Then FSU again controlled the ball and the clock with a drive to end the 1st quarter and led to a Thompson TD run and a 10-0 lead as FSU chewed up 5 Min on the clock. Then Wake came alive as they converted on a key 3rd and 1 to get them in fg position and Newman kicked it through and FSU still lead 10-3 at the Half.

Then the 2nd Half started with Wake getting the ball and converting 1 fd and then had to punt. Fsu drove to just across mif-field and tried a 58 yrd FG which went Wide Right. Then Wake tried to drive the next time and got absoultly nothing as they punted. Fsu then drove the ball (this time with QB Trickett) and then Trickett found Rawlins for a 7 yrd td pass as Rawlins just eeked past the goalline for the td and a 17-3 FSU Lead. and the Fsu closed out the scoring with a FB run to the left and a 24-3 commanding lead.

Wake tried to get things going but it was not for them today. FSU then ran out the Clock to end the Game.

Big Stat on this Game was The Wake Offense was held to 66 yrds Total and 3 First Downs for the Game.

FSU is now 2-3 on the year and 2-1 in the ACC.
