    WEEK 8
    [IMG]

The story in this game is can Nebraska continue to win with the injuries piling up. Nebraska will be without it's starting QB and HB, both were Heisman candidates at the start of the season. The Cornhuskers haven't missed a beat so far, as they are 5-0. Auburn was in a dogfight last week on the road against Arkansas but pulled out a late win 33-30 to improve to 4-1 on the year thus far.
    Other Matchups

Huge rivalry game here as these teams will battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy. Michigan comes into this game very confident as they won their last two games by a combined score of 118 to 27. They might have a tougher game this week as Michigan State has won 4 in a row this year after a week 1 loss. Michigan needs a win here and I think they will pull one out , ill say 38-28.
    [IMG] at [IMG]#6
Another Big Ten rivalry game here. Ohio State has climbed up the rankings and finds itself at #6 with their only loss to the #1 ranked team in the country. Penn State has been a mess so far this year as they are a pitiful 1-5 so far. Penn State is alot better than their record but Ohio State should pull out a win this week 41-24.
    #14[IMG] at [IMG]
Alabama got a huge win last week as they overcame a 24-7 halftime deficit, and scored a game winning touchdown as time expired to down the then #3 ranked Oregon Ducks. Bama should keep that momentum going this week as they should be too much for Ole Miss. I predict a 42-10 Bama win.
    #1[IMG] at [IMG]
The #1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs have been the best team in the country thus far, as they have beaten 4 top 25 teams already. Vandy shouldn't put up much of a fight here as Georgia is too talented and should roll right through Vandy. Ill say Georgia wins 49-14.

Wilkins and company to strong for Spartans
    [IMG]
Michigan travels to East Lansing, MI to face Michigan St. for the Paul Bunyan-Governor of Michigan Trophy. Michigan has won the trophy the last 2 years and prior to that Michigan St. has won it 4 years straight. This is a rivalry that has been going on since 1953 in which Michigan leads the series 36-23-2. Last year Michigan beat Michigan St. 56-14. Senior Dion Sims has been Michigan worst enemy the past couple years. He has received over 250 yards and 3 TDs the past 2 games versus the Wolverines. Coach Swoboda said "Today we are gonna try and stop Dion from getting the ball as best as we can, hes a great player and great pass catching tight end."
In fact Michigan did just that. Dion Sims was held reception-less. Michigan's defense was pretty good and against Michigan St.'s pass attack all together, holding Andrew Maxwell to only 148 yards and 1 INT. Leveon Bell had only 54 yards on 10 carries, but he was taken out of the game with an injury for 4 weeks. Nick Hill scored the only touchdown for the Spartans. Michigan's defensive line was disruptive in the run game and was too strong and had 8 sacks. Quinton Washington was too fast, too strong and was putting max pressure on every pass play for Maxwell. Quinton had 3 sacks and a forced fumble.
Michigan started out the day kicking off, and the Spartans went 4 and out. Michigan drove down the field with ease and scored on a 27 yard weaving scamper. Michigan also added a 20 yards play-action TD pass to a wide open Jeremy Jackson in the middle of the endzone. Michigan would and with 2 unanswered field goals to make the score 14-6. Michigan would get the ball and only able to get a 22 yard field goal with 32 seconds left and end the half 17-6. Michigan St. must had a great 2nd half adjustment and played the Wolverines tight for the whole 3rd quarter and would also add touchdown with a 1 yard over-the-pile dive to make the score 17-13. Michigan would bounce back from their offensive drought and drive down the field on play-action and QB read-options. The drive ended with a 2 yard load option that Devin Gardner kept and dove into the endzone to make it 24-13. Michigan would add to that lead with a 73 yard interception that would end up cutting up JR(rs) Skyler Schofner and made him look foolish and run past him for a TD. The Wolverines tried to just run down the clock but Justice Hayes didn't have the same plan, he busted a 41 yard touchdown that would make the crowd leave the stadium in disgust and sour taste in their mouths. Ray Foster got his 1st action since joining the team last year as a red shirt sophomore. He looked pretty good hitting the hole hard and decisive. He ended up carrying the ball only 3 times but rushed for 52 yards.
Michigan leaves East Lansing carrying the Paul Bunyan-Governor of Michigan Trophy high in the air. Just like last year, they finish playing the Spartans to head into the next week to face their arch enemy Nebraska as they come to the Big House in Ann Arbor . Last year Nebraska beat Michigan. Coach Swoboda will spend a lot of time trying to get his players ready for a tough challenge.
    Key Players
    QB: Devin Gardner 11-24 181 yards 1 TD, 9 carries 8 yards 1 TD
    Andrew Maxwell 9-16 148 yards 1 INT

Miller Goes Crazy, Buckeyes win Shootout over PSU

OSU thought they could score on this PSU defense, but they also thought they could defend, and only 1 side was correct. However, OSU was still able to put the game away after 3 quarters and beat the PSU Dirty Old Men 48-31. Braxton Miller was clearly the star, throwing for 312 yds and 6 TDs while also running for 47 yds. On his first drive, Miller found FB Adam Homan out of the backfield for a 4 yd pass. After PSU answered, Miller hit Jamaal Berry with a short pass that Berry took to the house from 13 yds out. IN a play I'd never seen in this game before, PSU recorded a safety when RT Andrew Norwell was called for holding in the end zone. Not only did PSU get 2 points, it nullified a big run by Berry that got them into PSU territory. PSU too advantage and scored a TD to give them a 16-14 lead before Miller hit Philly Brown with a 10 yd pass just before halftime.
In the 3rd, 2 scores in under a minute essentially put the game away for OSU. First, Miller found Verlon Reed from 29 yds out. After a turnover, Miller found Berry from 6 yds out to give OSU an insurmountable 35-16 lead. Miller's last TD strike was a 25 yarder to Chris Fields.

Braxton Miller 18-28 312 yds 6 TD 47 yds rushing
    Jamaal berry 29 rushes 130 yds 7 rec 95 yds 2 TD
Verlon Reed 3 rec 87 yds TD

    Nebraska's Defense Dominates Again
    [IMG]
Coming into this game, there were alot of questions surrounding the Cornhusker offense, which has been crippled by big injuries. Alot of those questions seem to be answered now. As new QB Vince House and new HB James Heinz both had solid games.

This game started off very badly for the Auburn Tigers as they went 3 and out very quickly on their first drive. Once Nebraska got the ball they put it into the endzone quickly as Heinz busted a 54 yard TD. On the next Auburn drive, Nebraska would get a quick INT. Vince House would then find WR Kenny Bell open for an 18 yard TD put Nebraska up 14-0 very early in this game. Nebraska would add a FG and and lead 17-0 after the first quarter. It wouldn't get any better for Auburn in the 2nd quarter as the Nebraska defense was too much for the Tigers. The Cornhuskers would add 13 points in the second quarter and would get 4 first half interceptions and take a 30-0 lead into the half.

Auburn would finally get on the board in the 3rd quarter as Kenny Bell would fumble a punt and Auburn CB Chris Davis would pick it up and take it 52 yards for a TD. Nebraska would add another TD in the 3rd as House would score from 3 yards out on an option making the score 37-7. In the fourth quarter Nebraska added a FG making the score 40-7. Auburn would take advantage of the Nebraska second string defense and get two late touchdowns making the final score 40-21.

The Nebraska defense played one of its best games of the year, getting a total of 7 interceptions on the day and 3 sacks to go with it.

Nebraska is now 6-0 on the year heading into a huge game with the Michigan Wolverines next week.

    Nebraska Key Players
QB Vince House 10/16 170 yards 2 TDs 0 Int
RB James Heinz 20 car 144 yards 1 TD
WR Derek Parrish 3 catches 80 yards 1 TD
FS Daimion Stafford 3 tackles 2 ints
CB Josh Mitchell 1 tackle 2 ints

    Auburn Key Players
QB Kiehl Frazier 12/24 232 yards 1 TD 5 Ints
RB Mike Blakely 11 car 33 yards 1 TD
WR Xavier Brown 2 catches 71 yards 1 TD
