we came out very strong. we were focused on stopping georgia's run game and did a good job doing it and making them throw. Ford had another big day. if we can keep our offense balanced and our defense playing like they did today, we should finish with a great season. GO LSU!!!!!!!!!

USC's Balanced Offense Takes Down #8 Wisconsin

The upset-minded Trojans came to play against hot Wisconsin Badgers. Wisconsin was feeling good after their 52-7 shellacking of Alabama so they thought they could just roll into Los Angeles and return victorious to Madison. USC had other ideas though and would send the Badgers back home with a 3rd straight loss in Los Angeles.

USC's balanced offense gave Wisconsin fits all of the first half. The Badgers just couldn't get them of the field. The few times they were able to stop them on 3rd down, the Trojans ended up converting on 4th down. Meanwhile, Wisconsin's offense struggled early. This allowed USC to build a 24-7 lead at the half.

The test of a champion though is how their resolve through adversity. It was looking like one of those games for the Badgers in the 2nd half. USC would get the ball first here but Wisconsin came roaring back to tie the game at 24-24 at the start of the 4th quarter. USC RB Percy Calhoun would prove to be too dominant though as Wisconsin could not stop him as he took control of the 4th quarter. It was 34-31 when Wisconsin ran out of timeouts, but USC choose to keep running instead of kneeing it so Wisconsin let Calhoun score so that they could the ball back. That ended up being irrelevant though as Wisconsin could not move the ball. So USC pulled off the upset 41-31.

Player of the Game: Percy Calhoun - 258 rushing yards against this defense is an amazing feat. Only 2 other players have even broke 100 yards this year against Wisconsin.

Upcoming: Wisconsin goes back North but stays on the road. They travel to Columbus, OH to take on Ohio State. Wisconsin will be looking for vengeance from 2012 as that game versus the Buckeyes is their only conference loss since Michigan State in 2010.
