After two games and conflicting schedules, the Oakland A's have conceded to the Washington Nationals and will take the crown away from the defending World Series Champions.

Strasburg started the game with a 1-2-3 inning and the A's would quickly get two outs and the big inning started.

Harper grounded to left for a single. Zimmerman was hit by a pitch. Desmond grounded to left for a single. Harper scores. Zimmerman advances to 3rd. Ramos lined to left for a single. Zimmerman scores. Desmond advances to 2nd. Pena grounded to center for a single. Desmond scores. Ramos advances to 2nd. Cecil in bullpen. Espinosa grounded to right for a single. Ramos scores. Pena advances to 3rd, all before Strasburg grounded out to Donaldson to end the inning.

A's and Nats both hit 2 HRs in the game.
Straily didn't seem made for the moment for game one of the World Series
Espinosa and Strasburg share game one honors.

Game 2 would essentially start out like game one, Zimmermann was able to get a 1-2-3 inning and the Nationals would start the scoring off at 2-0.

Werth grounded to left for a single. Gomez grounded to left for a single. Werth advances to 2nd. Harper doubled to right. Werth scores. Gomez advances to 3rd.* Zimmerman hit a sacrifice fly to Young (SF8). Gomez scores. Desmond flied out to Reddick (F9). Harper reached 3rd on a wild pitch. Ramos flied out to Young (F8), ending the inning.

This time around the A's were able to come back and get one each in the second and third to tie the ballgame. In the bottom of the third, Carlos Gomez would break the tie to give the Nationals back the lead 3-2. Oakland would come right back in the 5th inning to tie it again but Jayson Werth would give the lead right back to the Nats in the bottom half of the inning and then the flood gates opened in the 6th and 7th as Gomez would hit a Grand Slam in the 6th and Harper would hit his Grand Slam in the 7th.

Gomez takes player of the game award with 2 HRs, 6 RBIs and a 5-6 day.
Harper was 3-6 with 6 RBIs
Donaldson would hit the only HR for the A's.
