With the conference title being safely out of reach, the Bill and Dolphins meet in sunny Miami with faint hopes of possibly getting a wild card spot.

The 1st qtr. was a defensive slug fest once again for the Dolphins; as neither team was able to sustain a drive long enough to get into any type of scoring position. The Dolphins had it particularly rough with Ryan Tannehill (Run andhideinthehills) reverting back to his early season form by throwing an opening drive interception for one of his two interceptions in the first quarter, and five on the day.

The 2nd qtr. saw Buffalo kicking a late 40yd fieldgoal with 1:01 left in the quarter. Unfortunately, the Bills defense was still in shock from the scoring drive, and allowed Tannehill to complete a 78yd TD Bomb with :40 left in the quarter for a halftime lead of Dolphins 7 - Bills 3.

In the 3rd qtr. Miami's defense held tight and kept the Bills from crossing the 50yd line; while their offense was able to score another TD on a 18yd pass from Tannehill to Ballard midway through the quarter. Dolphins 14 - Bills 3.

In the 4th qtr. The Bills started to show some life; driving down the field to kick a 34yd FG to make the score Bills 6 - Dolphins 14, and to bring the Bills within a TD and 2pt conversion to tie the game. The Dolphins were definitely in clock control mode at this point; with incredibly futile attempts to run the ball and run the clock. The Dolphins were feeling good about closing the game out at about 2:40 left in the game' as they downed a punt inside the Bills 10yd line. However, Fitzpatrick showed some of that promised talent as he continually made passes down the field to Johnson; driving the Bills into Dolphins territory with 1:20 left on the clock. The Fitzpatrick to Johnson combination, which had been gold this entire drive, finally turned to lead as Fitzgerald attempted a pass to Johnson which was return 70yds by Hayden for a pick six with 1:13 left in the game. Bills 6 - Dolphins 21. After the ensuing kickoff, the Bills were able to regain their rhythm and score on a 22yd TD pass to C. Spiller with :26 left in the game. While the Bills effort was valiant, it was to little - to late, as a failed onside kick attempt sealed their fate. Final Score Dolphins 21 - Bills 13.
