Texas Tech rebounded from a disappointing loss at home to NC State by going in to College Station and dominating the #8 and JFF-less Aggies. TCU Transfer Aaron Green led the Raiders with 140 yards on the ground, while Michael Brewer passed for over 200. The story was the defense which produced 2 turnovers and 5 sacks.

    #10 TCU 35
    #1 Florida St 31

TCU traveled to Florida St. a week after getting upset by North Carolina, and pulled an upset of their own over the #1 team in the country. This weeks TCU team looked nothing like the team from last week. They ran the ball well and threw the ball efficiently. Boykin and Catalon finally looked like they were deserving of being put in the Heisman race. On the Horned Frogs first possession, Boykin found Kylie Hicks out of the backfield who took it 66 yards for the quick score and a 7-0 lead. Florida St would respond with 17 straight points though and would drive down the field again looking to score but would be picked off in the end zone. Boykin knew he needed a big drive before the half ended and delivered driving down the field and scoring on a QB run from the goaline to cut the lead to 17-14 going into the half. Florida St would open up the scoring in the 2nd half with a touchdown pass from John Franklin. With the Horned Frogs down 24-14, Boykin would come up with a big pass on 3rd down for a 31 yard touchdown strike. TCU would force a pick and BJ Catalon would score from 4 yards out to give the Horned Frogs their first lead of the game, 28-24. The #1 team in the country would respond though as John Franklin would throw another TD pass from 14 yards out to give the Seminoles a 3 point lead with 4:45 remaining. The Horned Frogs would put together one final drive, that would last for almost the entire 4:45. Boykin would find Sophomore Ty Slanina for a touchdown with only 45 seconds remaining. Florida St would attempt to respond but would be picked off. The Horned Frogs would pick up a first down and would escape with a big win. Boykin looked great for most of the day but did have a few incompletions that should have been picked off. Luckily, the weather was rainy and the defenders had trouble holding onto the ball.

    Trevon Boykin 22/30 317 yards 3 TD

BJ Catalon 20 car 140 yards 1 TD

After a terrible start to the season with a loss to Wisconsin in week one, UNC rebounded in a major by whacking a top ten talent from the Big 12. Trubisky was simply perfect, completing 15 of 18 passes for 233 yards and 2 TDs and 1 INT. Logan and Morris combined for almost 160 yards, with Logan ripping off a huge 80 yard run in the fourth to help put the nail in the coffin. Carolina's balanced offense attack and defense were just too much for Boykin and his TCU squad to overcome. Great game Philstyle3005 it's nice to a rare win over you. :D
