The Giants came into this game 2-0 and the Bengals 0-2 so they weren't expecting much of a fight but the Bengals really brought it.

It was all Giants to start however, as an early INT by Dalton led to a 45 yard FG for the Giants. New York added a TD to Cruz from 5 yards out to go up 10-0. The Bengals answered back quickly with a 85 yard seam buster to Jermaine Gresham. Cincinnati took their only lead of the game when they caught the Giants trying to to stuff the goal line with a heavy package and snuck the ball overtop to AJ Green for a 3 yard TD reception.

Things were starting to look up for the Bengals after they forced a punt. They got a little to greedy trying to add points before the half though and Chris Johnson jumped a route and returned the ball the way for 6 as time expired in the 1st half to give the Giants a 17-14 half time lead and effectively killed all of the Bengals momentum.

Things got ugly for the Bengals in the second half as Dalton threw pick after pick to the New York defenders. Brandon Boss increased the lead to 24-14 on a 19 yard reception off a nice double move. David Wilson who was either breaking a big run or getting stuffed for a loss all game finally got a TD when he took it off left tackle near the goalline and was pushed into the endzone by a Bengal defender.

Despite throwing 8 interceptions the Bengals were only down 17 points when the safeties broke down in Cover 3 and allowed MJD to run a HB streak up the middle of the field for an 86 yard TD reception. The Bengals were down only 10 pts with a score of 31-21 with enough time left on the clock to make it a game but they were unable to get it done and the Giants added a bit more breathing room with a 36 yard FG and eventually the clock expired with a 34-21 NYG victory.

The Giants are now 3-0 and will be heading to Landover, MD next week to take on the arch-rival Redskins in a matchup that will give the winner the inside track on the division title this season. Unfortunealy the Giants will have to do it without elite WR Hakeem Nicks who broke his collarbone during the game and will be out for 4 weeks. =[

Great game buddy, you just flat out beat me. I had the opportunities to succeed but just kept screwing them up by turning the ball over. No team can win with 8 turnovers to 2, and gonna have to try something different.

You kept the game incredibly close considering you had 8 INTs and a -6 TO ratio. Great defense.
