Seattle hosted the Arizona Cardinals for the first division match-up of the year, and got off to an ugly start. The defense forced a punt on the Cardinals opening drive, but the offense was pinned at the 1 yard line. They came out in a heavy formation, sending Turner up the gut, but he was tackled in the endzone for a safety. The defense forced another punt, and Crane found Sydney Rice a few plays later on a PA pass, and Rice evaded a lone defender for the TD. The Cardinals responded with a TD of their own. Both teams traded punts, and Seattle was again pinned deep in their own territory. Crane tried to hit the rookie TE Dotson, but it was picked to put the Cards in great field position. They capitalized with another score. The Sehawks found themselves down 30-27 in the third, but a series of turnovers by the Cards propelled them to a lead. Seattle's secondary was hungry, intercepting Harper seven times total in this game. Crane threw the ball 25 times, and the stable of backs shared the load for 28 carries on the day. Stecko had a very nice long run on the day, bouncing off a would be defender and trucking down the field for 40 yards. Good game Nick Winkler, those turnovers were a killer for you.
