Maryland Terrapins Season 4 Pre-Season Nominations!

    Devin Burns (QB)
    6'2", 186 Lbs
    Atlanta, Georgia
    - Burns was benched midway through the 2013 season but it seems as he has won his starting role back through off-season camps. Burns is entering his Senior season and rumors have it that Maryland may be opting to a spread offense this season which would give Burns and great opportunity at winning the Joe Namath award especially with former Jerry Rice Award winner Ryan Daniels returning this season.

    Justus Picket (HB)
    5'11" 190 Lbs
    Canton, North Carolina
    - Picket had to fill in a few games last season when Senior running back D.J. Adams suffered from a torn pectoral muscle. Picket had some good outings and has a lot of potential this season. The team is evaluating the option of running a split running back system with Junior Tyler Cierski so that could potentially kill his opportunities of winning the Barry Sanders Award.

    Tyrek Cheeseboro (WR)
    6'2" 204 Lbs
    Franklin, Virginia
    - Cheeseboro caught fire late in the season last year and entering his Senior season, he is hoping to start off where he left off. If Cheeseboro can put up numbers like the did at the end of last season throughout the entire year than he will be a huge favorite to win the Jerry Rice Award!

    Ryan Daniels (WR)
    6'1" 175 Lbs
    Olney, Maryland
    - Last years winner of the Jerry Rice Award is obviously a favorite to win it again this season. It all depends on if the Sophomore can get some early chemistry with Senior Devin Burns.

    Jared Gates (LE)
    6'5" 281 Lbs
    Forest City, North Carolina
    - Maryland only hope in the front lines is Sophomore Jared Gates. Defense is definitely not one of Maryland's strengths and they don't have any standout stars but if Gates can get hot this season then maybe he could possible pull out a Dick Butkus award but it doesn't really look good.

New Mexico State Season 4 Preseason Award Nominees

    PUNTER
Jake Capraro - Senior (RS) - Dana Point, CA -88 Ovr
    Preseason All-MWC
    - He's the Aggie player most likely to play in the NFL; Capraro booms kicks consistently well, and he might get the opportunity to become the field goal kicker this year ahead of this year's 2nd team preseason all-MWC sophomore kicker Marques O'Neill.

    DEFENSIVE TACKLE
Augafa Vaaulu - Senior (RS) - Woodland, CA - 65 Ov
    Preseason All-MWC
13 Sacks in the last two seasons combined. The 6'3" 304 frame of his is quicker than most, and he'll get the chance to succeed in Coach Kriske's defense.

    CORNERBACK
Samuel Oyenuga - Senior (RS) - Copperas Cove, TX - 81 ovr
    Pre-Season All MWC 2nd Team
    - Oyenuga has been the leader of the Aggie secondary for three years and and is coming off a season in which he tied for the team high in interceptions (9). At only 6' 163 lbs, he struggles with big physical receivers but plays with a lot of heart.

    WIDE RECEIVER
Austin Franklin - Senior - Forest Hill, TX
    - It's Franklin's last chance to become a standout in this offense. With TE Stephen McIntyre gone, the Aggies hope Franklin can step up his game this year.

    OFFENSIVE LINEMAN
Taylor Lenzmeier - Senior - Monterrey Park, CA
    - At 6'5", 285 lbs, he's not the biggest lineman, but he is the best on this roster.

    LINEBACKER
Anthony Joyner - Senior (RS) - Fairfield, CA
    - Joyner leads the linebacking crew with a 73 Overall rating by EA Sports.

Barring some surprises, no one else on this roster looks to qualify for an award.

FIU Season 4 Preseason Award Nominees

    DEFENSIVE TACKLE
Brandon Dunn - (RS) Senior - Villa Hills, KY
    - The FIU Golden Panthers have only one player above 90 OVR (and only 1 above 80) and Brandon Dunn is it. A consistent, menacing force inside, Dunn had 15 sacks last season, 20+ TFL, 3 FF, 2 FR one of which was returned for a touchdown. The absolutely no depth anywhere, Dunn will have to be lights out for FIU to stop anyone this season.

    UAB Preseason Nominees

    HB
    Darrin Reaves
Returning Barry Sanders award winner, been shakin the haters off for years. Production may drop off a little this year as UAB has added a stable of stud WR's.

    MLB
    Brandon Gant
Gant was a 1st team All American as a freshman last year and played well over his head all year. Gant will get his numbers but UAB will need him to step up as a leader this year too.

    WR
    Paul Robinson
Coach papaloke signed this :3stars:JUCO ATH and he immediately became the best WR on the team. If the Blazers have a QB that can get him the ball then he and Jerry Rice will be partying like it's 1988 all over again.

    Florida Nominees

DE - Charlie Keith: Coach Dusty Bottoms loves guys who can get to the passer by themselves without blitzing so that he can devote more defenders to coverage down the field. Keith has great technique (91 power moves, 92 finesse moves) and will utilize multiple moves to beat tackles off the ball.

HB Charles Baker/HB Mike Blakely: It is an open race at HB for Florida this year with 2 players with equal ability (both 88 OVR). Both have decent speed (93), but Baker has a little more power and Blakely has a little more shake. If one of these guys is able to separate himself from the other he could have a big year.

QB - Jeff Driskel: Coach Bottoms is in a tough situation having to adapt his style to a different type of personnel. Driskel is a scrambling type QB that figures to rely on some option and short passing game. It looks like they will run it out of mostly a Pistol set. Driskel will have the ball in his hand quite a bit so lets see if he can stay healthy and make the most of it.

OLB - Neiron Ball: Ball has good speed (86) and gets after the ball carriers (97 pursuit). This is just the type of player Coach Bottoms is going to need versus the tough RBs in the SEC this year.

QB: Teddy Bridgewater (SR) - 89 OVR, 91 SPD, 87 THP, 88 THA
    • Will have to be Mr. Everything for Coach Jman in his first year in the Big East. Can truly run and throw, could be deadly if he keeps INT's down.
    HB: Kamal Hogan (SR-RS) - 81 OVR, 99 SPD, 89 AGI, 87 ACC
    • A burner for sure, a first for Coach Jman in any OD. Staying healthy is the key though...
That's all for now, when is the cut-off IXI DECAY IXI ? I've got to play with my D before I can name anyone else.

Well you can nominate players all the way up until week 8. Once week 8 is over then that's when the true awards race begins. So use the first 8 weeks to keep up with your team and figure out who really stands out although I'm using the pre-season nominations to see how coaches will use these players or will they end up being a bust. Could potentially make for some good storylines.

I shouldn't even bother nominating people. Because if they have better stats, better hardware, all while on a team with better record, the awards'll go to someone else. #hatersgonnahate

They will help tremendously so I don't have to spend all that time sorting through each team that I have no knowledge about and trying to figure out their playmakers.

Baron I think that IXI DECAY IXI pulled stats after the season ended and it probably didnt show any players who had left..... this year you will post your own stats and content so you can campaign mercilessly for the win

IXI DECAY IXI can we get a Freshman of the Year Award up there as well?

    Hawaii Pre-season Nominees

    Defense:
SR(RS) MLB TJ Taimatua - best returning defender, should see lots of work in blitz schemes, qb spy, and short zones
JR(RS) FS Kendrick Van Ackeren - best secondary player, plus I almost exclusively use the FS vs the CPU, so he should have lots of TFL and a few sacks to go a long with a couple INTs

    Offense:
SR(RS) QB Kevin Spain - a versatile dual threat (84 spd, 85 accel, 84 thr pow, 82 thr acc) should excell in the short quick hitting passes of the offense and get plenty of looks in the option game
JR(RS) HB Will Gregory - the only true homerun threat in my offense, should see plenty of action on the ground and catch a few balls out of the backfield as well
SR(RS) WR DJ Armbrust - the highest overall rated player on my team. Lacks breakaway speed but should get plenty of catches, especially against zone coverages

    Freshman:
True Frosh TE Travis Butler - not an elite prospect (sub-60 OVR) but Hawaii coach Johnny Utah says he intends to get plenty of use from the TE position and Butler is the best of the bunch.

So far by the looks of pre-season nominations, we are going to have a pretty big battle for the Barry Sanders Award! Should be an interesting race!

Jman if you have the ability then you can actually just take the "Pre" out of the title and we can use this for the nominations thread the whole season.

ooohh, I forgot about best kicker.... Brad Burks, true frosh was rated #4 kicker coming out of HS, initially looked like he would attend New Mexico, but decided that the A+ campus lifestyle at Hawaii was too tough to resist. :D
