    Devin Burns (QB) - Maryland
    - Burns is currently aboard the top of our Joe Namath nominations. Burns had a mediocre performance against Navy and finished the game 16/24 for 200 yards with 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Burns did however have 94 yards rushing on 15 carries.

    Tahj Kimble (HB) - Army
    - Kimble put up 287 yards on 31 attempts and scored 2 touchdowns in their win against Northwestern. Can Kimble continue to put up numbers like this and lead Army to another successful season?

Kenny Williams (HB) - Texas Tech
    - Williams from Texas Tech, yea that's right Texas Tech is among our top candidates for the Barry Sanders award. Williams put up 275 yards on 26 attempts and 2 touchdowns. The new balanced attack is sure to help the Red Raiders cut down on their turnover issues.

    Paul Robinson (WR) - UAB
    - Robinson had 10 catches for 157 yards and 3 touchdowns. With his hot start and lack of performance by other nominee's, Robinson is a clear and only front runner for the Rice Award.

Calvin Smith (DT) - New Mexico
    - Smith had 8 tackles and 4 sacks in his season debut.

Anthony Joyner (LB) - New Mexico St.
    - Joyner had 6 tackles but clearly has a lot of ground to make up to catch Smith.

Justus Adams (K) - New Mexico
    - Adams was 3 for 3 in field goals in the Lobos season opener.

Kimble can't, but Maples can. Kimble gets injured too easy. Maples lead us last season.

Won't be too tough since he plays UTEP this week and that QB that doesn't know what he's doing with that offense will be stopped behind the line several times
