    2014 USC Trojans Season Preview
    [IMG]
    USC Quarterback Curtis Lane

    The USC Offense:
Quarterbacks: The Trojans are led by junior Curtis "Rodney Pete Jr." Lane at quarterback. Although a mobile quarterback, Lane has improved his throwing accuracy during summer and fall camps. Lane has become a dangerous dual-threat quarterback that should give opposing defenses nightmares. Max Wittex has emerged as #2 signal caller for the Trojans, Wittek is a capable backup that fits USC's traditional offense very well.

Running backs: Tailback U once again has a nice stable of running backs led by Percy Calhoun and Andrew Cunningham. Both get ample playing time but Calhoun gets the bulk of the carries. Senior FB Soma Vainuku see's action running and catching the ball out the backfield as well.

Wide Receivers and Tightends: The Trojan receiving corps is led by Senior Kyle Prater. Prater at 6'5" 200lbs has excellent acc, spd and jumping ability. However, its his special catch ability that should put fear in the heart of defenders. WR George Farmer, the receiver opposite of Prater, is a speed guy with great hands. TE Xavier Grimble should have some decent receiving yards after defenses leave him one-on-one to cover Prater and Farmer.

Offensive Line: The Offensive Line is led by team captain C Giovonni Di Poalo. RG Marcus Martin and LG Devin Gaston are solid blockers on the inside. However, we are very young at the tackle position.

    USC Cornerback Patrick Hall

    The USC Defense:
The Front 7: The D Line is led by DT Randy Watson and DE Greg Townsend. Although there are no stars on the D line, they play together as a unit. The Trojans defense is led by its outstanding Linebacker corps. The Linebackers are led by ROLB Hayes Pullard and MLB Alex Mack. Mack's Play Recognition ability is a great asset and makes it hard for teams to throw seem routes and underneath to the Linebackers.

Secondary: The secondary is led by scrappy CB Patrick Hall. Hall is USC's shutdown corner. The other corner Anthony Brown is a heady player who also has the ability to shutdown wide receivers
