We couldn't have gotten off to a better start with this win over TCU. we came out on fire scoring 28 in the first quarter while holding them to 0. we were in complete domination the whole game. our QB randall has really stepped and is very cam newton like. Got a real live arm and can move the pocket with his legs. really looking forward to the SEC-PAC12 showdown next week. should be a good game. GO LSU!!!!!! #1!!!!!!

We pull one outta our butts this week. With 6 turnovers I did not expect to win but hey I got lucky. The speedster Coats (99 speed) takes a Kick-Off to tha house late in the 4th for the win.
D played very tough the whole game despite the offensive problems. We ran the ball well but again the turnovers killed our drives. bigtubb_ played a great game. ScreenHunter_02 Nov. 01 10.41.gif ScreenHunter_03 Nov. 01 10.41.gif

#5 Florida opens season with rout of EMU, 45 to 3

The Florida Gators started the season out on the right foot with a dominating performance over Eastern Michigan on the road to the tune of 45 to 3. The Gators jumped out to a 38-0 lead in the first half and put it on cruise control in the second half. The game started with a bang as senior Robert Clakr returned the opening kickoff of the season for a touchdown and the half ended just as good as it started for the Gators, as junior Marcus Roberson returned an interception for 6. "We played well in all phases of the game today, very proud of the effort, from every guy on the roster," said Coach Hickerson. Senior QB Jeff Driskel saw just over a half of action, going 10 of 13 for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns, 0 interceptions. He also carried the ball 4 times for 23 yards. "It is a good start to the season, good to be 1-0," said the senior leader Driskel. First year started at tailback Randy Griffin also looked very impressive, carrying it 16 times for 125 yards. "With no disrespect to Randy at all, and he will understand where I am coming from, he looked a ton better than we all anticipated, and the thing is, he told us he would," said Hickerson. Senior tight end AC Leonard had 3 catches for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns also. Defensively, officially 19 different guys recorded tackles as the Gators got all kinds of guys action on that side of the ball. The standout however, was junior DT Ryan Bonds. Bonds had 5 tackles, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble. Next week the Gators welcome in UCONN for their home opener!

    DEFENSE! DEFENSE!! DEFENSE!!!
    Oregon - 6
    Georgia - 3

#6 Oregon held the #11 Georgia Bulldogs to a Total of 85 yards while limiting them -8 total yards rushing on 9 carries. The Dawgs didnt fair much better through the air, going 6-18 passing for 93 yards. Georgia's only score came on a FG of 45 yards after Oregon fumbled the ball on their 1st possession.

The Ducks moved the ball up and dow the field at times but could not break the defense of Georgia! The defensive front of the Dawgs kept the Ducks in check all day long! Oregon ran for 125 yards on 41 very rough carries. Bennett threw the ball 7 times connection on 5 for 70 yard.

Georgia only managed 4, 1st down the entire ball game while Oregon churned out 11 and possessed the ball for 21:20 to just 6:40 for the Dawgs!

Oregona made Georgia try and stop a lot of things by having 7 ball carriers with Carson leading the way with 12 carries for 45 yards.
Defensively, the Ducks just simply smothered the Dawgs with 4 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 1 INT, 1 forced fumble that was recovered, and the key thing was the Ducks batted down eveything that was in the air! Oregon batted down 7 balls and probably should picked the lot of them off!

With the win Oregon moves to 1-0!

    Great Game ptown!

Colorado Dominates in Rocky Mountain Showdown

In the annual rivalry game between Colorado and Colorado State at Mile High Stadium in Denver, the Buffs put in a great performance under their new head coach. It was tight at first but the team looked surprisingly well under their new Air Raid offensive scheme. The Rams got the ball first and had a crazy first possession. On 3rd and long, the Buffs were called for pass interference giving the Rams a 1st down. Then once stopped, Colorado State ran a fake punt for a 1st down on the same drive. However, they would end up throwing a pick. Colorado would take the lead on that possession and never look back after pulling away in the 2nd quarter on their way to a 42-14 victory.

Player of the Game: QB Stevie Dorman - There were some questions about how effective he would be under the new scheme but he put in a great performance against a weak opponent. He had nearly 400 yards passing and 4 TDs. Now the question is how well he can perform against good teams.

Upcoming: Dorman gets his shot immediately in the next week to show what he's worth. They travel to Eugene to take on the #5 Oregon Ducks in their first Pac-12 game of the season. The Ducks are heavily favored in this matchup but the Buffs will give it their best shot.

Stanford takes home the "W" in a wild shoot out at Notre Damne. The Cardinal and Fighting Irish traded touchdowns throughout the game until the 4th when Notre Damne had a 14 point lead. Stanford came back strong scoring two quick TD's to tie the game up with 1:47 left in the game and things got real interesting. The Irish would score a seemingly game winning touchdown with just 57 Seconds left, but Stanford would not go quietly. Brett Nottingham would connect with Brandon Mackey for a 7 yard touchdown, Nottingham's 5th of the day. That set up overtime. Stanford lost the toss and took offense first, scoring after only 3 plays. The Irish responded quick scoring on their first play. Remound Wright would then score off of a 6 yard run and Notre Damne would not reach the endzone again.

Stanford racked up 5 sacks, one setting back the Irish on their final possession. Bryan Smith showed his strength and made quite a statement by get three sacks on his own. Coach Mosley said "Well, what a way to make your coaching debut at a fine university. By beating another fine university in comeback fashion in overtime. The offense started a bit slow but the Defense played extremely well figuring that they opened the season against a fine opponent."
