Created a new thread to put this in:

CU's offense just ran out the clock down 21-0 and playing the CPU. Never made an attempt to get a 1st down. Oregon had a passing TD to a WR on a streak while CU was playing the run and the RBs got some big yardage runs leading to 21 points in the final 8 minutes.

Florida 2-0 after home thrashing of UCONN

The number 4 Florida Gators proved worthy of their ranking Saturday in their home opener with a 59 to 14 victory over the Uconn Huskies. "We started slow, we fumbled, they scooped and scored, we went 3 and out, it wasnt pretty, but after that we settled in and began to play our football," said Hickerson. After being tied at 14 at the end of 1, the Gators outscored the Huskies 45-0 the last 3 quarters. QB Jeff Driskel led the way again, going 10 of 14 for 183 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in just a half of play. AC Leonard was his go to guy once again as he was on the receiving end of 3 TD passes from Driskel. "We didn't run the ball as well this week, which is something you HAVE to do in order to win this conference, it wasn't on the backs today though, we didn't run block well at all, and the O line knows it, they will get it corrected and be fine," said Hickerson. The defense continued to play lights out also, they only gave up 7 points and forced 5 turnovers. "It all starts up front, and our front 4, not even front 7, just the front 4 alone right now, is doing an EXCELLENT job of getting pressure on the quarterback, if they can do that consistently, it makes it much easier for the rest of the defense."

LSU 31-3 UW.....first of all well played game by Coach Stiffysix and good sportsmanship....he could have easily scored 60 pts. if he wanted....

UW had 35 yards total offense....basically game was over early in 2nd half...LSU could have got a better game from the CPU...

When a game like this occurs...I really have to ask myself..."Whats the point"...and more importantly the league needs a commish that leads the way in being a quality player...and rather one that is at the back of the pack....

Great game by LSU, 100% sportsmanship.....what he was kind enough not to show was the ugly truth, the inept Husky offense...that would be a net...A NET...37 yards of total offense....which reflects the great LSU defense

Stanford cruised today over the Spartans for the seasons home opener. The first TD came off of a Interception and things would never get any better for San Jose. Stanford kept the Spartans out of the endzone for the entire game and the offense seemed to take their time and score at their own will. Nottingham passed 12 for 18 and 248 yards with 2 TD's and 1 INT of a deflection. The young gun Ben Wilson got his first reps this season passing 2 for 3 for 14 yards and had a six yard run. More from Coach Mosley: "Today we tried different formations and got a lot of guys into the mix on both sides of the ball. We worked more on precise passing and running with multiple backs. This was a great game for us to work out some of our kinks."

Wide Receiver Kyle Prater had a monster game for the Trojans. He caught 3 TD passes and rushed for another to led the Trojans to a 52-7 rout of Boston College. Running Back Andre Cunningham had nice game as well rushing for over 100 yards and 2 scores. After giving up a rushing TD, on the first play of the game, the Trojan defense shut out the Boston College Offense. USC controlled the Time of Possession and the game--rushing for 400 yards.
