Florida runs right through another SEC foe, moves to 4-0

Florida coasted past the undermanned Kentucky Wildcats squad 38-0 on Saturday, and for the 4th game in a row, the defensive starters played just 1 series in the 2nd half. The offense however was given 2 series this week. The Gators defense allowed just 60 yards of total offense to the Wildcats. QB Jeff Driskel went 9 of 12 for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns, and for the 4th consecutive game, did not throw an interception. Heisman candidate Randy Griffin has 16 carries for 108 yards, and 3 touchdowns. His backup Jason Johnson carried it 11 times for 69 yards. Driskel's touchdown passes were to freshman Tim Hill and Jajuan Story. Florida will travel to Starkville to take on Mississippi State next week before hosting LSU!

THE LSU DEFENSE WAS UNSTOPPABLE TODAY. THEY WERE ALL OVER THE FIELD AND FORCED 4 INT'S AND 3 FUMBLES WHICH LED TO THE SHUTOUT. THE OFFENSE CAPITALIZED ON THE BULLDOGS MISTAKES AND SCORED 4 TD'S IN 4 RED ZONE ATTEMPTS. IF WE KEEP THIS TYPE OF PLAY UP WE WILL BE HARD TO BEAT. GO LSU!!!!! #1!!!!!

    #3 Oregon mauls #13 Utah, 54-14

On Utah's 1st from scrimmage they got Oregon on a playaction pass and gained Huge yards that took them down inside the Duck 10 yardline. That was the wake up call the Ducks needed! On the next play, their was a sack, then an incomplete pass and then an INT in the endzone.
Oregon would start the go on a 80 yard drive and take the 7-0 lead with 1:40 left in the 1st Q. Utah threw another Bomb and scored to tie the game at 7 a piece at the 5:59 mark of the 2nd Q.

Thats when Oregon turned it on by outscoring Utah 40-7 the rest of the way!

The Duck offense could do no wrong as the running game was able to muster 564 yards on 44 carries with 5 TD's! Oregon passed only twice and completed it twice for 90 yards and 1 TD. Robinson had a field day running the ball, with 22 carries and 266 yards and 3 scores! Oregon also had another rusher with a big day. Ryan, a freshman ran the ball 11 times for 188 yards.

Defensively, the Ducks only gave up 23 yards on the ground but were horrible in pass coverage, giving up 287 yards! When Coach Hokie was asked about the pass coverage this what he had to say, "Early in the game the caught us looking and made plays but when we got up big on them, the plays were simply due to a lack of focus! We cant have that and it will be addressed!"

#3 Oregon has a bye next week before Hosting the Nittany Lions of Penn State, who are 3-1 overall. Penn State will play Indiana next week and will most likely be 4-1 as the walk in the Eugene.

Cowboys Shutdown Buffs In Big 12 Rematch

It wasn't always this was but Oklahoma State marched into Boulder, CO expecting an easy game against their former Big 12 rival. Colorado though feels as though they've finally started to improve as a team and, after seeing that OSU had already lost to an FCS team this year, thought that an upset was possible here. That ended up not being the case though as this game played out just like it was on paper.

Colorado started off great. They were shutting down the Cowboys offense and were actually moving the ball themselves. This ended up being worthless when CU QB Stevie Dorman had a pass picked off on OSU's 12 yard line and returned it 88 yards for the 1st points of the game. OSU ended up adding a FG early in the 2nd to make it 10-0 but the Buffs weren't done yet. They were ready for a fight in the 2nd quarter. CU went down the field and answered with a TD of their own pulling it to 10-7.

OSU wasn't about to give up their lead though as they would go down the field as well and push it back to 17-7. The Buffs were getting the ball to start the 2nd half so they wanted to eat up the clock and get points on their final possession of the 1st half and they were able to achieve that. With just 1 minute left in the half, the Buffs scored again to make it 17-14. That was still too much time though. OSU managed to get in FG position and knock it in for a 20-14 lead.

CU felt confident coming into the 2nd half. A TD here would give them the lead. That ended up being wishful dreaming though as the Cowboys would take control of this game and it all started with a 3-n-out for the Buffs. OSU managed to add 9 points in the 3rd quarter(failed 2 point conversion) to make it 29-14 but CU started moving the ball again in the 4th. After a punt put OSU inside their 5 yard line, CU managed to tackled OSU HB Herschel Sims in the end zone for a safety making it 29-16 and still possible for a comeback. CU got the ball back but ended up throwing an INT on OSU's 2 yard line. CU brought a heavy blitz to try and get another safety but Sims would break through the line and go 98 yards for the nail in the coffin at 36-16.

Player of the Game: Herschel Sims - 220 yards and 2 TDs made him the most important person in the game.

Upcoming: CU gets their 3rd straight home game. This time they host Pac-12 South rival Arizona State. ASU is 1-3 and is coming off a blowout loss to USC. This could end up being a key game for CU to make a Bowl Game.
