    Browns Pull Off Opener

The Baltimore Ravens came to Cleveland looking to get their new head coach jay2149 his first career regular season victory. That looked to be the case for most of the 1st quarter as the Ravens would take a commanding lead at the end of the first. Flacco and company looked very good as he would hit WR Torrey Smith on a 57 yd. TD, and Byron Stelle on a short TD grab. Cleveland would answer on defense, as T.J. Ward would intercept a Flacco pass, giving the Browns great field position and a chance to close the gap. Josh Freeman would start to heat up, capping off the drive with a Trent Richardson recieving TD. The Browns would roll from there, and score 28 unanswered points to end the half leading 31-14.

The 2nd half would start out with Cleveland scoring on the opening possession where 2nd year halfback Danny Williams would take a run to the edge for a 58 yd TD. This looked like it could possibly put the Ravens out of it. It didn't, they would score 21 unanswered points to bring the game within 3 points. Cleveland would again answer the call scoring a TD that would prove to seal the deal. The Ravens looked very good under new coach Shorter, and they could finally get back to the top of the AFC North this season. Coach Brown went on record to say, " you talk about a rollercoaster ride, this game was all about momentum, at times we had it, at times they did. You gotta feel good coming out of a game like this with a win, Baltimore is a good football team and honestly, I'm not thrilled to play them again."

GG man, I look forward to the rivalry...
