    S4 Week 1 Summaries

UCLA comes back to beat Bowling Green 27-21

Both teams struggled early as the defenses played well. Bowling Green would get on the board first with a TD with 18 seconds left in the 1st quarter to take a 7-0 lead. UCLA would bounce back with a big play, a 49 yd TD reception by WR Randall Carroll.

Bowling Green would comeback and add 2 more TD's but UCLA would score a TD with 6 seconds left in the half to cut the deficit to 7 going into the break.

Only scoring in the 3rd quarter was a UCLA Field Goal to put the score at 21-17 going into the 4th. Thats when my superstar HB Jonathon Franklin went to work pulling off his biggest run of the day, a 49 yard scamper for a TD.

UCLA would add a FG later and the defense would do the rest.

Col. St. defeats Idaho 20-10 at Idaho. Vandal QB Justin Terry threw a critical INT in the 4th qtr while driving to tie the game. Partially hit while throwing a PA pass from 4 wide set... the turnover set up a FG for Col. St. which put them up by 10 with 3 minutes to go. That was the story in a nutshell.

Both coaches used a similar gameplan and the game came down to some nuances.

GG H22. You have some senior experience this year. I am 1 or two years away with my squad. I'm thinking of redshirting some seniors next year to set us up for a 2015 NC run.
