    S4 Week 2

Idaho thrashes LA Tech 55-34 playing away.

The game was highlighted by Vandal Jr WR, All American : Patrick Mealey who had a monster day with 9 receptions, a TD reception, and a KO return for a TD. Mealey is a deep threat on every down as he is gaining position while in coverage and wrestling balls away from defenders.

QB Justin Terry enjoyed a big day throwing for 419 yds and 4 TDs. RS FR WR Billy White hauled in two TD's on 2 receptions and true freshman TE Bobby Jackson also had a TD catch.

On defense, the Vandals gave up a few big plays in the second half, but Soph FS Brad Hardy forced two fumbles giving the Vandals two big turnovers. The vandals forced 4 fumbles on the day showing off some big hit-ability.

The Hokies knew that Buffalo had a very strong offense coming into this game and in order to win they would have to stop the big plays. The Hokies defense allowed the Bulls to get into the redzone a lot but only allowed one TD and 4 FGs. The LBs for the Hokies played hard and really prevented any big plays. Overall on defense execution needs to be polished because they allowed 17 first downs and the bulls were on the field for 17:34mins, which is unacceptable if this team wants to win championships.

Offensively the Hokies executed near perfection in the pass game and broke a few big plays in the run game.

Opening offensive drive for the Hokies:

GG BC! If it wasnt for a few critical 3rd downs and redzone stops this game would've turned out bad for Va Tech.

    UCLA beats Hawaii 21-9

The Bruins started out slow, putting up an egg in the 1st half, but only trailed 6-0 at the break. UCLA came out guns a blazing in the second half, first the defense makes a stop then on the ensuing drive QB Richard Brehaut hooked up with WR Randall Carroll for an 81 yd TD, got lucky as it looked like it might be picked.

Hawaii would comeback and add a fieldgoal, but The Bruin offense was rolling now as a long TD drive was capped off with a 1 yd TD run by HB Milton Knox. Then with under 2 minutes left on 3 and 1, Milton Knox would put this game on ice with a 16 yd TD run.

Milton Knox filled in nicely for Jonathon Franklin as he got injured early on in the game.

    Milton Knox 16 carries 86 yds and 2 TD's

    UCLA 2-0 on the year

GG Drunk. That was my first game with Hawaii and I always use the teams playbook...not anymore. That playbook is junk!!! Haha, oh well. Yeah I went to eat up that pass with the pick and somehow missed it. GG GL rest of way.

Heisman Trophy candidate Braylon Ingram kicked off his season in style rushing for 265 yards and 3 scores. Andrew Luck passed for another touchdown to go with his 226 yards as the Cardinal beat the Kentucky Wildcats 38-21 in Stanford's season opener. The Cardinal defense looked shaky at times, but got some crucial 2nd half stops to put the game away for Stanford.
