Vikings Stand Strong3rd win comes by a 29-22 close call at home against Pittsburgh. The Vikings get to 3-0 with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers today, 29-22. After getting a 14-3 lead at the half, the Vikings would look to coast through this game. Lamar Woodley would recover a fumble and return it for a touchdown to put some pressure on the Vikes. Matt Forte would take it in from 13 yards out and the Steelers would fail on their 2nd straight 2 point conversion. Minnesota would go on a 15-7 run to end the game though as it was a combination of Toby and Ivory who beat the defense up. Huge game out of Percy Harvin as he went for 150 yards on 6 catches with a touchdown that burnt the Steelers CB very badly. Zackary Bowman and D'Qwell Jackson picked off Ben Roethlisberger but he seemed to toss all over us. Something no team has done this year yet. The Vikings will now face off with their North rival, the Chicago Bears.
Falcons come back to beat Phins in OT Atlanta 24 - Miami 21 Julio Jones sparked the comeback effort by catching a few deep balls to keep the Falcons alive. Atlanta - The Falcons were down 14-6 entering the 4th quarter on Sunday against the Dolphins. The Georgia dome was silent as Miami was in total control. Reminiscent of the LSU - Bama game the night before, the Falcons offense was getting decimated by a much more game defense. Peyton Manning was struggling to find receivers and Rashard Mendenhall couldn't break any long runs. Somehow, the Falcons found a way to come back. Peyton Manning hit Julio Jones on a long 62 yard bomb play and then got the 2 pt conversion afterward to tie the game at 14. Miami, not to be outdone just yet, scored on their next possesion on a 19 yard run by Mike Tolbert. The Falcons got the ball back with 53 seconds left on the clock. Peyton Manning found Julio deep again and he was tackled at the 1 yard line. The Falcons stopped the clock with their last timeout. The next play, Mendenhall crashed into the endzone with just 22 seconds left on the clock to tie the game at 21 a piece. In overtime, the Falcons won the toss. Peyton Manning led an effective drive down the field that set up the Rackers 47 yard game winner. The Falcons improved to 3-0 on the year after the thrilling win.
Not the Start Colts were Looking for Colts were off to a 0-2 start and things were looking horrible. Defense was failing offense was stuck in neutral. Before week 2 Colts decided to give Michael Turner a 1yr deal to finish out the season as their starting Hb and while his first week with his new team wasnt the greatest. Week 3 turned up to be a big one for him. Turner was 17att for 165yds 2tds. His first would be from 22yds out to put the Colts up 7-0 early. Broncos would take a 5 minute drive and Woodhead would score from 1yd out to tie the game at 7. One play and 80yds later Turner was in the endzone to give the Colts a 14-7 lead after the first quarter. 2nd quarter would start off well for he broncos scoring 21 unanswered points to take a 28-14 lead with 59 seconds left till halftime. Colts would answer quick with a 14yd strike from Anderson to Clark to make the score 28-21. Broncos would try to get greedy and score but Colts would get a pick and tried one shot for the endzone. It was incomplete and with 4 secs left Colts just kick the fg and this could be considered the key part of the entire game. Colts 24 Broncos 28 at halftime. 3rd quarter would only have one score and that was Anderson to Clark this time from 12yds out to give the Colts a 31-28 lead and that would be the only score in the 3rd quarter. 4th quarter Moreno would score from 6yds out with 5:57 left to take a 35-31 lead for the Broncos. Anderson would show some poise for a rookie and with 1:57 left would hook up with Whitney from 2yds out but colts would miss the xp making it 37-35 Colts. Broncos would drive down the field and Bethea who had an int early in the game would cause the fumble giving the colts the ball and kneel out. Was it a fumble maybe maybe not but there was no chance for review so the Colts won 37-35 Key PlayersQb Anderson 16-24 271yds 3td 1intTurner 17att 165yds 2tdD. Clark 6rec 103yds 2td

Giants Take Care of Oakland Giants Rushing Attack and Rush Defense Carve Way to 2-1 Record 28 - 17 The New York Giants were coming off a heart breaking loss to Chicago and facing a tough opponent from the West Coast in the Oakland Raiders. Both teams met on the field in MetLife Stadium with 1-1 records and looking to get above .500. The Giants new defense stepped up and shut down the Oakland run game, only giving up 77 yards on the ground, 40 of which came from two big scrambles by QB Jones. Darren McFadden was a non-factor, only gaining 37 yards on 15 touches. The run game for Big Blue was a different story. They were able to control the ball and control the clock. HB Corey Mays has taken over starting duties this season and is showcasing himself. Against Oakland he managed 124 yards and 2 TDs on 19 carries. HB Ahmad Bradshaw also had a good day on the ground, with 56 yards on 6 carries including a 39 yard score. QB Shane Boals continues to look for his rhythm. After struggling last week against Chicago, he played a better game, but still missed on key passes. His lone TD pass came in the 2nd quarter as he found Rookie TE Asian Dyer for Dyer's first reception and first TD in the NFL. Another Rookie played a big part in the Giants success. S Raymond Willis picked off QB Jones, putting an Oakland drive to a dead halt. GG DrunkenSoldier
