Fulham fights for 1-1 draw in late stages in London
Fulham struggled in their home opener as they fought back to claim 1 point in 1-1 draw against Everton. Fulham was tamed for the first 85 minutes as Everton controlled the midfield and the match. It was a slow game overall, with both offenses unable to unlock the defense or string together passes in the attacking third. Some early chances were also wasted by the visitors which could have opened up the game a bit. As it turned, it was the visitors who opened the account to the new season when Cahill found a rebound just outside the box and turning in a well-placed shot in the far low post beating Schwarzer with ease. It looked to be enough as Fulham couldnt muster an attack until injury time - when A.Johnson was able to pick up a loose ball and put in a cross in the box. A flurry and save by Howard saw Dembele with an open header and net off the rebound in the frantic closing seconds to salvage an undeserved point.

Man of the Match -T. Howard [9.6 Rating]
GG IJGator - pretty much followed the script of our previous 3 friendlies....crazy finish..here's hoping we score alot more in future matchups...

The game could go either way on the second half of the game. Second half Dinamo showed the strenght of their forwards, but Anton Ferdinand stood still and did not let go any points to Moskva!!! QPR earned 3 points, and started well on the new season with a new manager.

GALATASARAY PULLS AWAY IN B DEBUT
Geneseo98's Turkish squad was away off the coast of Italy for its Serie B debut and it received a rude welcome from the hosting Italians as Fabricio Miccoli opened the scoring with a header off of a rebound that keeper Muslera couldn't corral. That goal charged the Stadio Renza Barbera crowd... but it was nothing compared to what it did for Galatasaray. Elmander scored in the 45th minute to level the match, and second later in stoppage time, he was able to hit a volleyed bouncing shot past Emilio Viviano from a looping Felipe Melo pass. 2-1 lead for the guests and momentum never switched sides again. Last year's top scorer Milan Baros slotted home his first goal of the campaign on a pulled-back Baytar pass to provide the final scoreline. Viviano made an impressive 11 saves in the defeat.

Assists - Barreto, Sarioglu, Felipe Melo, Baytar

GALA-EVERTON SIDES VERY EVEN IN WELL-PLAYED DRAW

With a supreme effort of balance and drive in the box with multiple defenders all over him, Galatasaray midfielder Inan tapped a slow-rolling shot that trickled over the goalline to give the home side a 1-0 lead in the 1st half.

Galatasaray seemed to have its second straight win of the season in place but fatigue weighed on them in the 2nd half and the Northern England side found more room to operate. It resulted in the deadly Tim Cahill collecting a pass in the left side of the box and wonderfully blasting a shot past Muselra's right side. There was only one other really threatening scoring chance in the game's final 35 minutes as substitutes trickled into the match. A long goal kick from TIm Howard caught the Turkish defense napping and Everton collected the ball for a free 1-on-1 with Muslera. The shot was parryed to the side, where an on-rushing Nikica Jelavić was only able to one-time a shot past a sliding defender which smashed off the post and away from danger. One point rightfully for each side in this one.

    Assists - Drenthe
Man of the Match - Tim Howard [9 saves, 8.6 Rating]

EA servers got disconnected during second half while it was 0-2, we started a brand new half and played for the remaining time, and it ended 1-3 in the final.
Santos fans felt like they were the better team on the pitch but got unlucky and saw 3 fluke goals in their nets.
Cisse`s 3 fluke goals brought home the 3 points. Neymar`s phenomenal goal was not good enough for the home side.
    Good game Roger

Muslera with 10 saves was expected to be the man of the match, since he was the main reason QPR were only able to score 2 goals. This game could have gone either way, but QPR strikers were a little more luckier than the GS`s strikers. The game was played in heavy rain. Manager BESHIKTAS said it was good to be back in Istanbul , It brought back a lot of memories from the previous job at Besiktas. It was even better to grab 3 points and go back home. All QPR is thinking about is the next game against Fulham, he added.

Great game, man... 1st goal was on a poor clearance where I hit pass instead of clear... Zamora, clinical. 2nd goal was a tap in for Zamora after a posted shot... Two corner-kick guided headers by my boys were cleared off the line by QPR defenders. Huge swings in the match there. Looking forward to my return trip north to the UK!

As I said It could go either way , I won it this time , you might win 5-0 next game. I enjoyed playing against you. We had some exciting games . Good luck bro !!! By the way I think it is a bad choice to sit Balta on the bench and put Cetin on your left back. Don't get me wrong , I'm just saying. I don't really know their ratings , but Cetin did not do a good job on the left. It was like gold mine I found on the left , and I kept hitting there.

Great game were both teams seemed to feel each other out early. Fulham played with more
Players than usual in their half of the field and Dembele up by himself which led to very few
Quality chances in the first half. When the second started both teams started to push for a goal
And the game opened up. Both keepers made big saves to keep the game close but big man Giroud
Finally connected on a header to see the French team through for the big win.

    Good game hokie
