Portland Snowhawks vs London Black Knights Recap
Week 3 brought the Titans to the Bills house. Everyone thought this was going to be a blowout loss for the Bills, including the Bills ownership. It didn't quite turn out that way. The Bills put up a fight. The first half of the game was a defensive struggle. The first quarter ended tied at 0 with neither team really being able to get anything going. Nearing the end of the half the Titans drove down the field and Lenex Brandon punched it in from a few yards out. The first half score was 7-0, Titans. The Titans would score one more time with a TD pass from Nick Marshall. Nick Marshall was starting to catch fire. With the Bills looking to put the fire out, they drove into Titans territory but had to settle for a long FG. The Bills defense started firing on all cylinders again and stop the Titans on their next possession. Beau Spriggs started to find his groove at the end of the half and hit Branch Bell for a 88 yard TD pass. The first half ended with the Titans leading 14-10. In the 3rd quarter, both defenses took control of the game. The Bills did manage try a late 3rd quarter FG but came up short. Early in the 4th quarter, Spriggs found Clay in the corner of the end zone and went on top 17-14. The Bills knew the defense had to come up big and make a stop. Midway through the 4th quarter, Nick Marshall threw his second TD pass to make the score 21-17. The Bills offense sputtered once again and had to give the ball back to the Titans. Late in the 4th quarter with time running out the Titans were driving. A toss to Lenex Brandon going down the left sideline. FUMBLE!!!!! THE BILLS RECOVER!!! Or did they? The play goes to the booth for review. The call on the field is overturned. The Bills player did not have control of the ball before going out of bounds. The Titans run the clock out and win the game. Final score was 21-17.
STEELERS 24 at COLTS 22
I don't have time for a full recap, but I wanted to warn everyone that Kyle Sevey can play. The game was just as close as the score indicates. Any number of things could have swung this into a Colts win. Nobody sleep on Luck and the Colts!
