Auburn gets it together in the 2nd half to pull out a win. Our Defense played very well not allowing him to get it going and forcing 3 picks. We did go into the half behind because of a pick 6 as time expired. In the end the big plays in the 2nd half got him. I had 2 big pass and a nice run that put it away.
Well Played and he had me on the ropes.

MSU kept it close in the begining but there is an obvious talent diffrence between the two teams and it showed. RB hilliard had a great day and just took over the game since our QB struggled a little bit. next week is the game that will probably decide who goes to the SEC championship game. last year we were gashed to the death with the run game of auburn. plan on it being diffrent this year.

    FRED YOU ARE GOING DOWN!!!!!!!

I have to say this was a very tough loss. I knew going in that I would have to play one of my best games to keep up with Fred... and in the first half I did. The pick 6 was huge.

In the second half Auburn came out strong and got their first TD of the game to take the lead 10 - 7. At this point my QB had thrown 2 picks on short passes. I'm pretty sure I didn't call a pass play this whole drive but I got in the endzone to take the lead.

On the very next play from scrimmage Blakely breaks a huge 75 yard TD run for Auburn and the rout was on. On Auburna next possession Owens connects on a 96 yard TD pass. That was the dagger for the Gamecocks as they could not get going on offense. Three total interceptions for the Auburn defense.

    Good game Fred

    Cardinal Dominate in State Rivals
This game was all Stanford as they kept UCLA out of the endzone in their 38-0 victory last Saturday. Remound Wright made his case for the Heisman trophy pulling off a 54 and 53 yard TD runs in the first quater. In the second he tacked on another two TD's off 3 and 12 yard runs. Wright finished with 239 yards off 17 carries and scoring his career 40th Touchdown. Wilson struggled a but throwing the ball only connecting on 10 of 25 attempts and no TD's with two interceptions. The 2nd Sting QB Brad Nelson threw four attempts and connected on two of them, one being a 28 yard TD late in the game. Wilson looked better running the ball as he carried for 91 yards on 9 attempts.
the defensive looked good, giving the Bruins a goose egg. They kept UCLA under 230 yards total offense and forced two turnovers. Stanford only allowed UCLA to convert 3 out of 11 third downs and stopped their only 4th down attempt.
Mosley had this to say: "Well it's hard to find anything wrong when you have great game like this. Wright ran very well, Wilson had some tough times but he will get through that. We let Nelson throw a little bit and actually try to play, we want him to get comfortable as he will be our guy next season. The defense continues to impress me, I really can't say enough about those guys. It seems like the are getting tougher every week. Next week we have a tough match up with USC and I think we are proving that we are ready for anything."

Coach HAL Shows His Balls, Football Gods Unimpressed
The Buffaloes and Sun Devils met down in Tempe this week in what would be a great game but a disappointing loss for CU. First off, freshmen QB Monty Allen had a horrible first half allowing Colorado to fall behind. He missed tons of open receivers and the Buffs likely would have won if not for that. In the 2nd half, Coach HAL brought in senior QB Stevie Dorman who played pretty well and nearly brought CU back from down 14 points.

The key moment of the game came with just under 3 minutes remaining. Stevie Dorman led a TD drive down the field to potentially tie it at 35. With the way Arizona State had been moving the ball though, Coach HAL wasn't sure if they'd get the ball back so he wanted to put CU in a position to win rather than be tied. So the Buffs went for two and actually converted it giving Colorado a 36-35 lead. However, the Sun Devils would strike quickly scoring a TD and getting the 2 point conversion of their own to make it 43-36. Dorman and the offense drove down the field again but Dorman threw an INT on ASU's 5 yard line to end the game.

Upcoming: The Buffs take on Oregon in a game which should be a total mismatch.

    Oregon control Utah
    31-21

Oregon controlled the clock and the game with a punishing ground game. The Ducks had 2 rushers reach the 100 yard mark on the day, as Sidney Griffin rushed for 104 yards on 11 carries and Ben Robinson rushed for 101 yards on 15 carries along with 2 scores. The 19:39 time of possession to only 8:21 for Utah was dominating as Utah just struggled to get anything going early against a quick defense for Oregon.

The defense played solid and gave the Ducks a 31-7 lead but at that point fell asleep a few times. Derrick Howard of Utah was 8-21 passing but 3 of the 8 completions were for HUGE gains. Ricky Watson had 2 cathes for 104 yards with 1 of those going for 56 yards and a score. Matt Fontaine had 2 cathes with 1 catch going for 64 yards to set up a score and David Webb had 3 catches with 1 catch going for 34 yards and a score.

With the win Oregon moves to 6-1 and must travel to Colorado and play the upstart Buffs who are 4-3 on the season.

    Tide Cruise Past Tennessee
    [IMG]

Despite the strong start for Tennessee, they just couldnt sustain it. Holding strong for the first half the quarter, all it took was a Ben Hunter (32 car, 272 yards, 4 TDs) 67 yard burst to open up the flood gates for the Tide. On the back of Hunter, Alabama would put up 31 unanswered points until the Volunteers would add a touchdown late in the 3rd quarter. By then, it was too little too late for Tennessee. Alabama held Tennessee to just 187 yard of total offense as they completely dismantled the Volunteers.

Up next for Alabama is a show down with Indiana before they finish off the season with SEC play.

    Utes lose to Oregon 21-31

Oregon controlled the tempo and beat Utah with physical football. "We had no answer for their style of offense, couldn't stop it at all", Coach Wayers said after the game. Offensively for the Utes the game wasn't much better. Derrick Howard, who was playing great so far went 8-21 with 2 interceptions. "I couldn't get into any kind of rhythm, they were doing some good things on defense" Howard said after the game. Oregon dominated the time of possession having the ball for over 19 minutes while Utah only had around 8 minutes. "Oregon has a good program up there and they showed it today. We'll go back to Utah, look at the tape and get ready for the next game. This was a good test for us to see where we are at and obviously we need some work" Coach Wayers said.
