Auburn beat Iowa bad in a game where the offense was AUsome. Miller had a great day throwing and our HBs did there job.

Tennessee Loses in a Shoot Out
    [IMG]
This was a poor game for both defenses but Tennessee just could not keep up with the gators. Quarterback for Tennessee Chris Jenkins would throw for over 500 yards. By far the player of the game was Spencer Reed as he would run right through the Tennessee defense for 309 yards on 17 carries and 3 TDs. Two wide receivers would go for over 100. The first wide receiver was senior Brian Roberts who had 5 catches for 245 yards and 2 TDs. The other was CJ Anderson who had 4 receptions for 112 yards but no touchdowns. The Volunteers defense will look to improve on their poorest performance versus the toughest LSU Tigers.

    Final score:

    Tennessee volunteers 35

    Florida Gators 52

Colorado Upsets #15 Ohio State In Columbus

Last week, Colorado hosted Texas and nearly pulled off an upset at home. This week, the Buffs got themselves into that position again but this time they came away victorious. Colorado took control from the opening kickoff when Anthony Patrick returned it or a TD and a quick lead. Ohio State had a very good return on their opening kickoff but they would go 3 and out. CU's offense then proved that they could be just as explosive as their special teams. A few plays into the drive, QB Monty Allen would hit Jay Callahan on a wheel route that left him wide open and 15 yard behind the Buckeye defense. He ran it in for a TD and the it looked like an upset and potentially a rout was on. Ohio State would start to get their offense together but it was never enough to keep up with Colorado and their offense and special teams.
Player of the Game: Anthony Patrick - 2 kickoff returns for TDs and led the team in receptions. Colorado wouldn't have won without him.

    Tide Rolls in SEC Opener
    [IMG]

Alabama continued their dominating play as they rolled to a big victory of SEC opponent Vanderbilt. WR Adam Kennedy (6 rec, 148 yards, 4 TDs) continued his stellar play and continues to add stock to the early Heisman talks. The Tide scored early and often as QB Isiah Ellison (13 of 21, 317, 5 TDs, 3 INTs) continues to put up big numbers despite his turnovers. By halftime Coach Fransisco had put in the younger players and HB Jessie Johnson (12 car, 147 yards, 2 TDs) continued his stellar relief play helping the Tide chew clock in the 2nd half.

Up next for Alabama is their first road SEC game against a tough Arkansas team.
