Gants throws 66 yards to move the Dawgs inside NW 30, forced fumble leads to TD for Dawgs, Wilson scores game winner with 3 seconds left...note how he drags his feet!

Trojans Win Over the Sun Devils
On a beautiful day in the Colosseum, the USC Trojans downed the Arizona State Sun Devils behind a strong passing game and opportunistic defense. QB Andy Bennett was able to light up the ASU defense for 333 yards and 3 touchdowns. The running game never got going, but it wasn't necessary in this one.

COMING OFF A DISAPPOINTED LOSS ON A SIMMED GAME WE KNEW WE HAD TO WIN TO KEEP ANY HOPES OF A TITLE SHOT ALIVE. WE CAME OUT SLOW AND WAS DOWN 14 FROM THE START BUT WE JUST STUCK TO OUR GAME PLAN AND IT PAID OFF. WE WERE KILLING TENNESSEE'S QB! I WOULD IMAGINE HE IS IN AN ICE TUB RIGHT ABOUT NOW. THAT IS PRETTY MUCH HOW WE WERE ABLE TO WIN, JUST GOT THEM IN 3RD AND LONGS AND MADE THEM PREDICTABLE ON 3RD DOWN. IT IS A NICE WIN COMING OFF THE LOSS. LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT WEEK!
    GOOD GAME pitt4life21

The Duck Defense did not allow a positive yard rushing for the game, holding the Buffalo to -16 yards rushing! The Colorado QB, Allen threw 2 INTS, both of which came early in the game and allowed Oregon to play on a short field. Allen was also sacked 7 times on the day! The lone bright spot for Colorado was their WR, LEE, who had 6 catches for 148 yards and 1 score which included an 81 yard catch and score,
    [IMG]
#43 Carpenter rushed for 247 yards on just 18 carries and scored 6 times

After last year's game in Boulder, the Buffs' coach was expecting a much better performance from their defense in this game. It wasn't all that much of a surprise since the Ducks have a good rushing game and are one of the top ranked teams in the country but a better performance was expected. Offensively, Colorado continues to show improvement. It wasn't always pretty but keep in mind that the Buffaloes were shut out in Eugene 2 seasons ago. This year, QB Monty Allen had a solid performance with 271 passing yards and 3 TDs. His 2 INTs came on back-to-back plays in the 2nd quarter and one of those was a great play by Oregon's player so little fault is put on Allen for that INT. There's still work to be done but there are positives that can be taken from this game.

After last years tough loss to LSU Tennessee looked to get payback but could not. There need to be a better defensive showing for the vols. They will try to improve on that next week. QB Jenkins kept his strong year going in this game throwing for 332 yards and 3 TDs. We needed to still give him more time to throw. We also needed more of a running game just got to predictable by the end of the game. There is still much more to improve on both sides of the ball.

Georgia went to Ole Miss and got a win 42-14.

The Bullldogs mixed it up well on the ground and air...four rushing TDs one passing td and pick six led to the 42 points.

Three different Bulldogs rushed for tds. The Georgia D played very well recording a season high 6 sacks, 4 in the first half.

We struggled to contain the rushing QB, but knocked him out of the game and made him fumble 3 times...we only recovered one of them.

Nice win for us as we look to play better in week 6 as the players and coach get used to each other.

    Bama Continues Dominance Over SEC
    [IMG]

Alabama continued its trend of overpowering victories with a lopsided 54-0 demolishing of SEC opponent Arkansas. WR Adam Kennedy (6 rec, 79 yards, 2 TDs) continued his solid performance this season as he opened up with game with two quick touchdown strikes from QB Isiah Ellison (18 of 34, 248 yards, 2 TDs).

In a game that was all but over by halftime, Coach Fransisco brought in the backups. HB Jessie Johnson (13 car, 81 yards, 1 TD), who is getting some priceless experience in relief of Carl Cutler (10 car, 50 yards, 2 TDs) continued his solid relief play scoring late in the 4th to ice the game for the Tide. The Alabama defense also continued its dominating play holding the Arkansas offense to under 80 yards of offense and forcing 4 turnovers.

Up next for the Tide is a tough road test against SEC foe Florida.
