Utah Wins Turnover Filled Game Over WVU, 31-6
"Well, we won, not the way I would have liked to win, but it works", Coach Wayers said after the game. Utah's quarterback threw 3 interceptions along with 3 touchdowns, but they were able to get the best of the Mountaineers. Defensively for the Utes, they forced 4 interceptions on Mountaineer quarterback D.J. Prater.

    Win is a Win
It was a hard-fought game which was not expected. The scoring started with Hawaii getting a field goal to put them up 3-0. Tennessee would respond back with a score of their own by Shannon Young from 5 yards out to put the volunteers in front 7-3. Both teams were shut out in the second quarter and the score remained 7-3 Tennessee. In the third quarter, Hawaii would have the only score of the score with a 32 yard field-goal to make it 7-6 volunteers barely in the lead. Tennessee would get some breathing room with a sack that was a safety. Later on quarter back quarter, Chris Jenkins would find Jared Babcock for a 56 yard touchdown to make it 16-7 midway through the fourth quarter. As the game wind it down Hawaii would find the end zone one last time but they could not get the score to either tie the game or win the game.

    Final score:
    Tennessee volunteers 16

    Hawaii Warriors 13

Alabama Tops Florida Despite Slow Start

Despite a very slow start and three first half interceptions, Alabama was able to over come and top Florida 27-6. Isiah Ellison (20 of 34, 348, 2 TDs, 3 INTs) was able to over come his early mistakes and finished strong with two touchdown passes to Adam Kennedy (6 rec, 112 yards, 2 TDs).

Given his stellar play so far this season, HB Jessie Johnson (3 car, 21 yards) got his first start of the season for the Tide. Unfortunately, three carries into the game he was sidelined with concussion symptoms. HB Carl Cutler (13 car, 82 yards) finished off the game with a solid line despite being benched early.

The defense was again solid for the Tide, holding Florida to just 6 points. The pass rush was again relentless as they got to the Florida quarterback nine times in the game. DE Tim Olsen (10 tackles, 7 sacks, 3 FF) continued to add another monster performance to his surprising Heisman front runner campaign.

Up next is Alabama's toughest contest of the season as they travel to Boise to take on the #5 Boise State Broncos.

    #2 Oregon punished Washington 42-17
The Ducks still needs to work on their special teams as they gave up a 99 yard Kickoff Return for a TD and allowed too many 3rd down and long conversions while also allowing 191 yards through the air.
