Utah Wins Ugly Game Against ASU, Avoids Upset 42-38
    Untitled.png
"We did not play Utah football today, I give a lot of credit to ASU but we played like garbage today", Coach Wayers said. With 5 turnovers, Utah was on the verge of being upset today. Luckily the Utes were able to rally, scoring 20 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to win. That included a 1 yard rushing touchdown with 5 seconds left in the game to go up 42-38. Georgia is able to beat UT after some early turnovers killed any MO that the Vols had.
Georgia's ground attack really got it rolling in the 2nd qtr and after we got the lead we played some ground and pound and it worked out.
Georgia wins this one 45-14 over rival Tennesee.
GG Bro..the turnover scoop and score really hurt the cause. Good luck the rest of your season.

Another tough loss for UT. We need to improve are ability to hold on to the football and keep the D off the field to give them rest. We also need to improve our D line through recruiting. We have got ripped apart in in few games because we can not stop the run if we improve this aspect of our game I believe that we can win more games and maybe an SEC championship.

#2 Oregon takes care of a Pesky Washington State Team
    29-7
    [IMG]

Oregon struggled to get anything going offensively and had top settle for FG's early and often. Bryan Garcia booted 5 FG's on the day with his longest coming from 46 yards out. Jeremy Carpenter had another Big Day on the ground with 191 yards rushing on 19 carries.
Washington State had the Ducks off balanced early when a 49 yard play action pass set up the Cougars only score of the game but in the 2nd half the Cougar offense was shut down.

Colorado Whoops UCLA Behind Huge Performance From Singletary
    [IMG]

Thanks to a huge 2nd quarter by Doug Singletary(3 defensive TDs), this game turned into a blowout. Up 42-0, Colorado started to call of the dogs and played the 2nd string for the entire 2nd half. While the offense wasn't amazing, they performed better than UCLA and Singletary outscored UCLA all on his own so the Buffs were able to cruise to an easy victory.

Alabama New #1 After Win Over Broncos
    [IMG]

After a convincing win in Boise, Alabama is the new #1 team in the country in the latest Coaches poll. HBs Jessie Johnson (18 car, 81 yards, 1 TD) and Carl Cutler (3 car, 61 yards, 1 TD) combined for 142 yards as the Tide tried to keep the high powered Bronco offense off the field as much as possible. QB Isiah Ellison (20 of 31, 363 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT) continued his stellar play as he helped to propel the Tide as well. The defense was surprisingly porous giving up almost 400 yards to the Broncos.

Despite the Broncos jumping out to a first quarter 17-3 lead, the Tide were able to battle back. By half time the Tide were up 24-20 and never looked back.

Next up for the Tide is a home test against SEC foe Ole Miss.
