Very evenly played match that was a see-saw affair in the first half. The fans of the Rossoblu saw their team come out strong early on with ST Panilla taking the pass on the break and scoring past a diving Howard's left side at 31'. But the lead for the Sardinians would be short lived as Everton came out on fire in the 2nd half culminating with ST Jelavic taking a pass across the 18-yard box and burrying a crossing shot past Agazzi to even the game. Both teams looked very tired and slow deep into the 2nd half with Cagliari failing to score on a corner in the closing seconds. GG Geneseo98.. very entertaining match.

Newcomer GovernedSpy wins his first game in charge of Rubin in Serie C with a hard fought win over the Toffees. Everton took an early lead when a small chip into the box found Jelavic and he made no mistake in controlling and firing home.

Rubin did not take long to get back on terms when a through ball released Carlos Eduardo and he raced clear and finished with class, with the outside of his right foot into the bottom corner and make it 1-1.

The winning goal was a bit freakish, Valdez blocking a pass from the centre back inside his 18 yard box and forcing a save from Howard, to which Valdez reacted and slammed home the rebound for what turned out to be the game winner.

Everton pushed hard and both sides had chances and only a great Ryzhikov save when 1 on 1 secured a very valuable 3 points for the Russian Cup Champions.

very wp Geneseo98 unlucky man tight game

Firstly would like to apologise to redwings8831 as i did not intend to score penalty for late 5th goal i held shooting button prior to penalty and must have done it too quickly and resulted in smashing it in the middle of the net i know the rules on 5+ goal winning margins and did not mean to cause offence by doing so

As for the game it was not as straightforward victory as the score might suggest with galaxy threatening in the first half and only good russian defending and clinical finishing making things easier for the home side.

Valdez opened the scoring forcing his way through and slotting home to put rubin 1-0 up and made it 2-0 with a nice header from a Martins deep cross.

Martins then slid home a Valdez cross and made it 4-0 from the long ball and finishing well. A dubious penalty was awarded 4 minutes from time which Natkho slammed home which i didnt want to do but there we go.

gg man all the best this season

No issues though it was an iffy call to start with (and I'm pretty sure your 4th goal was offsides, not that it matters). Anyway, what a total disaster and I almost demolished my controller (chucking it at the ceiling isn't a good idea). Well played game to you, GovernedSpy.

A very balanced match saw the visiting Germans strike first and dominate the first half in both possession and shots, but not goals, as the affair was knotted 1-1. Stuttgart came out firing, with its first shot whistling just wide at 3 minutes. Khalid Boulahrouz scored his first league goal in four seasons at the 20 minute mark, winning a 50/50 ball 30 yards out, taking two careful touches and lacing a low shot beyond the keeper's reach. Palermo equalized minutes later on an awful back pass by the Stuttgart midfield that was bungled by the center backs, allowing Migliaccio a free run in on the German keeper. But Stuttgart was not to be denied - Cacau put the visitors up at the 54 minute mark taking a lovely through ball from William Kvist, stopping on a dime in the box to shake his defender, and cutting back to lace a high curler into the far corner. Palermo very nearly equalized with a vicious header off the crossbar, and then fell victim to dubious officiating when an apparent foul in the box by the German defenders went uncalled. A great game by OhDaesu19. Stuttgart earns its first opening day victory under Frenchie's leadership, but it was not without controversy.

A very good defensive game by the visiting French. Entering the half, the game was knotted at 0-0 at half. Some very good early saves by the English goalkeeper Rob Green. Stade Rennes came out firing at the beginning of the second half and got an early goal in the 56' by a great individual play by V. Montano. West Ham would not be put down though as the French goalkeeper had to come up with 2 big saves in the next 10 minutes. But Stade Rennes came back with a demoralizing goal in the 66' off the foot of J. Feret going right through the West Ham defense and firing a big blast near post. Great game from Bling_CO but Isaac Oyer would not be denied in his first match in the Serie.

If Cagliari has any chance at success in Season 6 it will be because of a great defense, goal keeping, and timely scoring. The roaring days of offense for manager Go Devils just won't cut it with this team of supposed non-match fixers. And that was mutch of the gameplan early on in this contest as Cagliari sought out to score and then play off the counter attack the rest of the contest trying to play well in their own half. Isaac Oyer played very solid for his first week in the TFS really cooking up the offensive pressure. But it would be Mauricio Pinilla taking a pass from Cossu and playing an off move on Renne defense en route to putting the ball past Costil for the only goal of the game. From there Cagliari did its best to save off the French sides fearsome attack. Big game by Ekdal playing in a new CDM role for Cagliari as it tries to find the right formation to fit the talent of this group of men.

Rubin maintained their 100% start in Serie C with a hard fought win over their Danish opponents. The home side had more shots at goal, but in the end couldn't convert their opportunities which proved fatal.
A nice interchange between Martins and Valdez played in the paraguayan international who slotted home to put Rubin 1-0 up. Copenhagen had a grip of the midfield and equalised when a N'Doye cross exposed Kaleshin and Santin rose to head home.
Both sides had chances to win the game, but Rubin won it 6 minutes from time when Ansaldi found Martins in the box who finished well to send Rubin top of Serie C 3 games in. Copenhagen threw everything to get an equaliser but the Russians held firm and in fact should have been 3-1 up but Martins shot wide at the death.

    Summary:
Big game between two teams itching to move up in the world of the TFS. LA played a very solid match early on with Landon Donovan missing a chance to put the Galaxy up a goal at the 10' mark. That was the break Cagliari needed coming off a confidence gain off their draw in the Coppa, Mauricio Pinilla had one the best games of his life, scoring the first of the night's hat trick in the 24'. From there the Galaxy started to turn up the pressure and Cagliari began to simply pass around the slide tackles. The keep away paid off early in the 2nd half as Pinilla scored goal number two on the break with CDM Ekdal edging a pass through the Galaxy keeper to put Cagliari up 2-0. And then things just got ugly. The Galaxy began to show an uncharacteristicly un-LA attitude going at any Cagliari player possessing the ball with studs up, and it will cost them in the future. Donovan was the first to get in the book with a classy tackle of GK Agazzi with no one around him. Then it was David Beckham's turn near the end of the match with a slide tackle off the ball becoming the 2nd Galaxy player to earn a caution. Pinilla was at it again just after the booking taking a pass from Ibardo scoring on an open net. He had missed the hat trick chance on an open net just 4 minutes earlier.
Not a pretty game... but a win is a win... and Cagliari seems to have found a poacher in Pinilla. I would say GG again to redwings8831 like I did after the game. But as usual he doesn't respond and just signed off.

Rubin kept their 100% record intact with a tough win in Germany. The first half was very even, with Stuttgart denying Rubin the room they craved to play their passing game and both sides had opportunities to score but we went to the break goalless.
The turning point of the game came in the 59th minute when Natkho was blatantly upended by delpierre deep in the Stuttgart penalty area and he was lucky to only see Yellow. Natkho dispatched the spot kick despite a valiant dive by the german keeper to put Rubin 1-0 up.
Valdez seemed to wrap the game up when he slipped into the box and stroked home, only for a good strike from Kuzmanovic 20 yards out got the home side back in the game.
However, Martins raced clear and smashed home to secure the win and keep Rubin at the top of Serie C
