Tennessee Leaves Miami in the Dust35-10 Titans are looking hungry as they win yet another game. Defense has been a lot better for us in the past couple of games and they are showing signs of life. First couple of weeks we looked dead and nasty on both sides of the ball. Now we look to have turned it around a little bit. Jake Locker added 3 td with 0 ints and added a couple hundred more yards to his resume. CJ adds another 100+ effort with 2 tds Next up is a young and talented Patriots squad.
Will to WinNewton struggles through the air, but makes up for it as Panthers win 35-24
Cam Newton came in riding a season long high. Today he felt and looked like a confused Rookie QB. Newton would throw 6 picks on the day,but he was able to make up for it by rushing for 3 touchdowns. Carolina trailed throughout the whole game until Newton busted through for a 5 yard score with a minute to go. The player of the game was second year linebacker Johnny Synder. He had 5 tackles, 2 picks, 1 td and a FR. He had a game clinching 89 yard pick six with :29 to go.
FLYNN FIGHTS OFF CHIEFSVikings win 28-6. The battle of Matt Flynn vs Ricki Stanzi ended up with Flynn winning. Stanzi throws 2 picks while Flynn throws 2 TDs and a buck 87. Nobody had a special day receiving and on the ground in this one as it was a true team effort. Defensively, the Vikings were ferocious with 3 sacks, 2 picks and 2 forced fumbles. Franchise Watson led the way with 6 tackles and was all over the field yesterday.
Broncos Beat Steelers, Stay in the Wild Card HuntBroncos 24 - Steelers 13
The Broncos really needed this victory after being beaten badly by the AFC West leading Raiders. This was a rainy game, and throws seemed to go pretty much anywhere, but Moreno stepped up big in this game and ran for 135 and 2 TD's to lead the Broncos past the Steelers. The game was tied after the 1st quarter as the teams were trying to get accustomed to the rain, but Moreno got in the end zone from 3 yards out just over a minute into the quarter, then again from 3 yards out with 4 minutes left in the half. The Broncos added one more TD before the half on a pass from Evans to Monroe with 27 seconds remaining to have a 21-0 lead at halftime. In the 3rd quarter, the Broncos got a Matt Prater FG to go up 24-0, and that is where it stood entering the 4th. In the 4th, Pittsburgh opened up their playbook a bit, and Arrington had 2 TD passes, one to Emmanuel Sanders from 45 yards out (2pt failed) and another to Devin hester from 51 yards out to bring the score to 24-13 with 5:48 left. But the Broncos would hold on and walk away victorious, coming home to face the Chiefs in next week's contest.
