As Season Eight approaches the buzz around the water cooler seems to be "the more things Change, the more they stay the same. Major Coaching Moves and the introduction of what could be considered the Top Tier Squads available in the Whole Serie has marked this Season early- and most experts believe the parity that was prevalent in the last Season was a short lived one. Expect this Season to be a 2 to 3 horserace with the Cream of the Crop squads helmed by some of the more Talented Managers pull away by Mid Season.

"...the even in match play last Season, was a blip- a lot of the more skilled Managers were tempered and challenge with less than stellar squads with evident weaknesses- things other Managers could work on and be within a shot of three points, but now- Goliath has been armed with a Machine Gun and poor David will need to figure out how to Beat him with a Sling Shot...."
    Alan Smith

" ... this is what Serie A should be about, the Best Squads with the Best of Managers, let the Games Begin- I see a lot of potential in the middle table clashes, and the New boys are not babes in the woods but coming in to take some Scalps. Have you seen the Newly Promoted Managers squads! They are not going in with a knife to a Gun Battle, they have their own shotguns..."
    Clive Tyldesley

    WEST HAM UNITED
    Manager CxMacx10
Manager CxMacx10 and West Ham United returns to defend their Championship. The Hammers pulled out a miracle Season last year as they sported arguably the lowest rated Squad in Serie A and managed to hold off the rest of the more Talented Teams to Win Manager CxMacx10's first Championship. It was a Testament in the Manager's will and skill as he progressed through the Season holding opponents to a league low 1.6 goal per match and also leading his squad to a top 3 finish in scoring with a 2.65 goal per Match. The magical Season was topped with a Coppa Win for a Brace Season and the ethereal M. Jarvis being awarded Season MVP despite the other candidates loftier stats. West Ham again enters the Season statistic underdogs - M. Maiga (76 ST) and A. Caroll (78 ST) will once again be called upon to provide the punch while the Defense will be asked to hold down the line against much stronger squads. Will West Ham prove Heart is stronger and Defend their Title or will the deluge of talent be too much for the wee club from Upton Park,London?
    TRANSFER NEWS:
    IN:
Joe Cole (78 CAM) & Marouane Chamakh (77 ST) arrive to West Ham to bolster the Attack for Manager CxMacx10.
    OUT:
Yossi Benayoun (78 CAM) returns to Chelsea after Loan Spell

    SUNDERLAND
    Manager HokieNYC

Manager HokieNYC benefited from some poor match scheduling from the other Squads and found themselves in 2nd place after the Season was all said and done. The Black Cats had an impressive turn around from their previous Season- as the addition of S. Fletcher (ST 77) and A. Johnson (RM 80) proved to be an offensive blessing as it freed up S. Sessegnon (82 CAM) to be more of a threat as Defenses could no longer just focus on the Black Cats star. Sunderland will need to find some mental fortitude as lapses near end of matches has cost them points all of last Season- a total of 12 points can be attributed to late goals that either cost Manager HokieNYC an outright win and in some cases a heartbreaking loss. Look for Sunderland to make some noise but not enough to challenge this Season, if anything it will be a pleasant surprise for Sunderland if they stay in Serie A after Season 8.

    MONTPELLIER
    Manager Vipermansa

Manager Vipermansa had a breakout year last Season- as Montpellier finished 3rd in Serie A- in just his 2nd year. A slow start to the Season- losing his first 4 fixtures had pundits worrying if the Sophomore manger could remain a top Serie A, but with the impressive turnaround - the French squad turned it around in the 2nd half of the Season going 6-2-1 to leapfrog the rest of the league, a loss to Sunderland prevented Montpellier from finishing higher- but during that run- the French squad showed some offensive teeth, as they racked up 28 goals in 9 matches. Utaka (76 LW) will look to be provider again and their midfield maestros in Belhanda ( 82 CAM) and Mounier ( 79 LW) to provide nightmares for opposing Defenses. A stay in the Top League is not an impossibility but Montpellier will need to win the Matches early on- as any missteps in the beginning can easily spell doom for the French Club- with the New Squads in the Table, pouncing early and stealing points maybe the only way to insure becoming a Serie A staple.

    HANNOVER 96
    Manager Rschwep

Manager Rschwep hot start to last Season had the Germans flying high but the 2nd half of the Season was not as kind to Hannover96 - as the Germans lose 5 of their last 6 matches to fade out of the Race. This Season Manager Rschwep returns with a similar squad- but with a renewed sense of urgency- the challenge will be getting Stindl (77 RM) consistently contributing this Season- and once again relying on Konan (ST 78) for punch- Hannover will need to find more scoring threats as Konan's 11 goals were a Team high and Stindl is the next closest scorer with 6 goals. The Defense will need to be tweaked again- as the porous backline allowed a league high 2.65 goals per match. Manager Rschwep will need to be wary of the offensively minded squads - as he prepares for Season 8. It will be a Middle of the Table struggle for Hannover96 as the talent in this Seasons Teams will severely test the discipline of that German back line.

    TRANSFER NEWS:

    IN:
Andre Hoffman (66 CB) comes in but will more than likely not see time on the Pitch this Season
Johan Djourou (75 CB) arrives On Loan from Arsenal to help bolster the German Defense

    STOKE CITY
    Manager BigOx1337

Manager BigOx1337 must be hoarding alot of rabbits foot around his office lately- as the Potters for a second straight Season escape Relegation from Serie A. Two defaulting Managers and a sum of 17 points for Season 7 has Stoke City ushering in their Season in Serie A. Obviously the goal this time around is to compete and look for the Potters to power their way into some key wins- but Manager BigOx1337 will need to find some offense as a League low 1.32 goals per match last Season spelled doom for Potters- the Defense was just a poor allowing 2.63 goals per match. If these issues are fixed- especially on the Defensive end, look for Stoke City to pull some upset by way of 1 goal matches- the Defense will need to focus and hold against more talented squads to allow P. Crouch (77 ST) and K. Jones (76 ST) an opportunity to take points from the rest of the League. It does not look good for the Potters this Season- Teams are hungrier and more talented and Stoke City will need to find points against the Table where ever they can. This may be Stoke City's last Stand as Serie B relegation looms on the horizon.

    LILLE
    Manager RedAl9252

Season 8 marks the return of Manager RedAl9252 to his roots- as Lille was his First appointment- he inherits a Team loaded with Talent- even with the potential loss of key personnel in the Winter Transfer window- Lille is a recently downgraded 4.5 Star squad moving into a lower weight class- this could spell trouble for the Table- Lille can easily sport a line up 77 and higher across the board its Starting XI. Expect Lille to be fighting for the Championship near Season End- Mavuba (82 CDM) anchors a hefty Defensive side: averaging 78 across the board with Chedjou (80 CB) holding the rear. The Offensive side will Test opponents Defense as well with a line up that can potentially average 79 across the board with Payet (80 LW) and M. Martin (80 CAM) the tip of this very quick and very deadly rapier. An early Season contender for the Championship as Manager RedAl9252 looks to turnaround a disastrous Last Season campaign with a stronger, more talented and quicker squad.

    TRANSFER NEWS

    OUT:
Mathieu Debuchy (79 RB) leaves Lille for Newcastle

    Udinese
    Manager Zikry

After the Brasilian experiment- Manager Zikry returns to Italy to take over the helm of the vacated role left by Manager Friz form last Season. Udinese was a Pre-Season favorite last year and Season 8 proves to be no different. Arguably one of the strongest squads statistically - Udinese boasts the most vaunted backline in Serie A: Benatia (82 CB) and Danilo (80 CB) will be difficult to break- and with Manager Zikry's penchant for 5-3-2 formation- finding goals will be difficult for opponents across the board. Look for Teams to approach with cautions as the Leagues Co Best player in Di Natale (85 ST) will wreck havoc on the opposite end. If Manager Zikry is able to coax opponents into his trap- then Natale will have a banner Season. Watch Udinese battle it out for League Supremacy against the stalwarts of Serie A this Season.

    CSKA Moscow
    Manager Shiftee

Another fortuitous appointment befalls one of the more experience and decorated Managers in Serie A, as CSKA Moscow was downgraded from 4.5 Stars to a lower weight class. Manager Shiftee jumped at the opportunity again to manage this talented Squad- leaving a rather successful campaign with Anzhi for more familiar pasture. CSKA Moscow will boast the Leagues Top Goal Keeper in Akineev (84 GK) and while the Defense is not the focal point of CSKA Moscow- Akineev will provide stability. CSKA Moscow will boast one of the more lethal attacks in Serie A- (depending on what happens in the Winter Transfer Window)- CSKA Moscow boast a trio of 80 plus players in Honda (81 CAM), Doumbia (82 ST) and A. Dzagoev (80 RM). CSKA Moscow is a dangerous 4 Star squad with Doumbia providing lethal precision strikes and Honda and Dzagoev controlling the Midfield- look for CSKA Moscow to dominate early and often and will more than likely be contending for the Championship.

    Anzhi Machachkala
    Manager Broncos218

One Man's trash is another Man's treasure- as Manager Broncos218 takes the helm of Anzhi when it was vacated by Manager Shiftee. Anzhi will boast the Best Player in the League and Last Season's MVP Runner Up S.Eto (85 ST). Offensively this Team will test any opponent as Eto support in Traore (78 ST), Zhirkov (81 LM) and Boussoufa (82 CAM) provides a very deadly front- it is the Backline which is suspect - with only Samba (78 CB) worth a mention. If Manager Broncos218 can capitalize on the talent upfront and put their opponents on its back foot- Anzhi can make some noise- but if the offense fail to impress- that backline will give opponents ample opportunities to relegate the Russian Club. Unfortunately- this move may end up costing Manager Broncos718 his spot in Serie A as Anzhi will be tested by the Table- Manager Broncos718 has always helmed balanced squads that afforded him to make mistakes- this Season it seems Manager Broncos718 has put all his eggs into one basket- will it be a successful gamble? Or a ticket into Serie B?

    Santos
    Manager Snake3249

Manager Snake3249 leaves Wales and takes over for Brasilian outfit Santos- a rather surprise move for the restless Manager- Offensively this squads looks like deadly- with the multi-talented Neymar (85 LW) and Ganso (80 CAM) looking to make some noise in Serie A. However it is the backline that is cause for concern as no one above 75 mans the back for Santos and with the Winter Transfer window coming- rumors of Robinho coming will temper rumors of Neymar going out- if any of this comes to fruition - the Brasilian Experiment could spell disaster. Much as many other Serie A managers have discovered- Brasilian Teams come with a warning tag- Sexy Offense... Offensive Defense. Look for the Early transfer window to help dictate the future of Santos, but even with the addition of Pato (from Milan- if Rumors hold up)- that porous Defense will put Santos in a relegation battle against the more balance squads in the Table.

    TRANSFER NEWS:
IN: Eduardo Vargas (75 CF) arrives at Santos from Napoli to help with the Attack

    SEASON 8 PREVIEW
    Welcome to the Show

    Marseille
    Manager Hokie79

Manager Hokie79 returns to Serie A after getting relegated last Season to Serie B. The Manager hopes to turn his fortune around with well stacked French squad in Marseille. Arguably one of the Strongest sides in the Whole Serie- Marseille boasts one of the Best Keepers in the league in Mandanda (85 GK) as well as a midfield duo of Balbuena (80 RW) and Ayew (81 LM) capable of dictating the pace and temp of the match- all feeding into their speedster Remy (83 ST). The backline remains a little suspect- but with Mandanda between the sticks- it'll be difficult to get easy goals by Marseille.
Manager Hokie79 onces again comes to Serie A with a strong Defensive presence - after only allowing 1.17 goal per game in Serie B all of last Season. Even with a suspect backline- the French proved to be a deadly out. Manager Hokie79 will look to NOT repeat his inaugural Serie A season when his then Fulham squad entered the season with a lofty Defensive Reputation only to be relegated back down- pride in tatters after allowing over 40 goals in 20 matches.
It will be a tricky Season for Marseille- while holding some Serie A experience- it may not be enough to challenge but look for them to take some major scalps and affect the Championship race in other ways. As for staying- Odds are against the Manager keeping up with the Big Boys- but has the opportunity to make some of the middle of the table regulars uncomfortable.

    Queens Park Rangers
    Manager Beshiktas

The long awaited Debut of Manager Beshiktas has finally arrived- long has it been documented of this wanton Manager's desire to make the Serie A fixtures- with many near misses- Season 8 will mark a dream long dreamt for QPR and their affable Manager. Rounding out the Table- QPR boasts a deadly balanced squad with plenty of firepower on the Bench. Lead by solid keeper in Cesar (82 GK) and a tricky back line that seems to be the achilles heel for QPR- although last Season fail to show it as they boasted a Serie B leading 1.06 GAA, with M.Bia (80 CB) leading the line - Offensively, QPR matches well and will present a challenge for any Serie A Defense- Cisse (81 ST) will be supported by a midfield boasting Park (79 CAM) and Granero (79 CM)- S. Wright-Phillips will provide some speed on the wings and watch as QPR protects its back line with Offensive pressure.
QPR looks similar to Manager Hokie79 Rookie Serie A debut- and the Team is Deadly enough to take some famous scalps this Season- but short of a miracle run and/or if that vaunted Defense is worthy of its reputation through action and not scale of competition remain unseen- regardless it will mark a glorious and much anticipated Debut for Manager Beshiktas - the question now lies, will QPR displace a Mid Table regular or will the Londoners find Life in Serie A a harsher reality than what has been a long awaited Dream?

    MATCH WEEK 1

Season 8 is upon us and FIVE new Squads are introduced into Serie A this Season.

Lille opens up their campaign against fellow French squad Marseille, Manager RedAl looks to take advantage of his experience as both Squads are evenly matched- with a slight edge going to Lille on the Defense. Sunderland opens the Season against Anzhi and S. Eto (85 ST) at the Stadium of Lights- look for an offensive Match as both Managers will look to take all three points to jump start their campaign. Defending Champion West Ham United will look repeat their last meeting with Hannover96 - but the German side has revenge in their head as the humiliating 5-2 loss still stings. CSKA Moscow re-enters Serie A against Montpellier - Manager Shiftee will look to impose his powerful squad on the lesser Home side. Montpellier finished last Season strong and will need that confidence if they are to capture an important scalp early. True Rookie Serie A manager Beshiktas opens the campaign against Udinese in what could be a grand upset of the Week. QPR matches very well with Udinese, and Manager Zikry's philosophical formation 5-3-2 will not hinder QPR's penchant for counters- if QPR can remain patient and keep Di Natale (85 ST) at bay- QPR may roar the loudest.

Udinese arguably has the softest opening schedule as the Italians open up with the two newboys of Serie A- 2nd match against Marseille should be an easy one, as Manager Hokie79 has never beaten Zikry- Marseille will need to find some points - look for a Defensive match as the French side play it cautious. Anzhi welcomes Stoke City and their aerial attack- this could spell trouble for the Russian squad as the Defensive backline is not very big- P Crouch (77 ST) will look to impose his height on the smaller Defense. West Ham looks to avenge their last meeting with Sunderland as the welcome the Black Cats at Home- Sunderland, will need to be on point and hope to repeat their results against West Ham. Lille continues their French tour as they Welcome Montpellier- Manager Vipermansa has found some success against Manager RedAl and will look to bring that Offensive prowess to Lille- this could be another shoot out- as both Teams speed will play a factor in what could be a run and gun event. Santos will need to be on point as they visit Russian Outfit CSKA Moscow- Neymar (85 LW) will need to keep pace with CSKA Moscow Offense as the Santos back line will not be able to hold out long against a very strong frontline.

Stoke City will look to slow down CSKA Moscow in the third Match- The English backline will be tested and if the Potters can keep it close, they may get a shot at taking a point - if they take advantage of their limited opportunities. Anzhi will need to be on pont at Home as West Ham will look to impose their physical superiority on a suspect Defense- West Ham enters the Season with the lowest GAA allowed from last Season- and The Powerful Russian Offense will need to put up some goals -b/c their backline will more than likely give up one or two one their end. Lille rounds out their week with a trip to Brasil for Santos- Lille should have no issues dispatching a weaker Santos squad- Neymar (85 LW) will once again be called upon to keep Santos in the match- as Lille will look to take all three points. Sunderland welcomes a Red hot QPR- the Black Cats are familiar with QPR, losing friendlies in Pre-Season. Sunderland will look to defend Home and scrape for points against a very dangerous Cisse (81 ST). Udinese can conceivably have a shot at 9 points if fixtures against less experience Managers go their way- Montpellier in their 3rd year in Serie A will be standing in the way- The FrenchSquads powerful Offense will need to find a way to break Udinese 5-3-2 approach- while keeping track of the quick strikes of Di Natale (85 ST)

    MATCH WEEK 1 RECAP

QPR Roars out of the gate and puts the Serie A Teams on notice as the Newboys Defeat Udinese 1-0 and Sunderland 3-1 in their first Two Matches. The Newly promoted side missed a chance to run the Table as Hannover96 were able to clamp down Defensively- it seems that 5 men backlines will be the fashionable formation this Season. Udinese bounces back with a controversial win over Marseille as a 90th PK call hands the Italians a 2-1 Win.

"... we got ambushed by a very good squad and a skilled Manager who game planned properly. We had our chances, so we cannot complain in the end the better side won...QPR 3 -1 Sunderland "
    Sunderland Manager HokieNYC

"... all of theses teams are going to a 5-man back line it seems. That could be a problem fir Us if we do not improve..."
    Lille Manager RedAl925

"...5 men back line is not leaving many options, but crossing!"
    QPR Manager Beshiktas

"...that foul should never have been called- especially when nobody had possession, Tough way to Lose but we have to go forward...Udinese 2-1 Marseille"
    Marseille Manager Hokie79

Udinese continues winning Form as the Italians sweep aside Montpellier 3-0. Udinese takes 6 out of 9 possible points in the 1st Week of Season 8. CSKA Moscow proves they deserve all the hype- as they take down Stoke City with a convincing 3-0 Win.

Montpellier has found the new Season awkward as they get thrashed 5-0 by Serie A powerhouse CSKA Moscow-and drops their third Match 3-1 to fellow Ligue One squad Lille- the French squad has allowed 11 goals in their first 3 matches while finding the net once themselves- it was not the start Montpellier needed.

"...It was one of those games where everything went right one way and wrong the other..."
    CSKA Moscow Manager Shiftee

Lille were unable to capitalize on the momentum as Santos were able to hold the powerful French side to a draw- the Brazilians look to move forward and build on the result.

Good work on the breakdown but I think it would provide a clearer picture in relation to past seasons if they were broken down by each Serie league rather than grouping them all together.

It says the first 6 match weeks, which is a 36 match sample size, so I assume its only Serie A.

The problem is the Season 8 sample size is 1/3 that of the other 4 samples...not exactly scientific.

    NEWS:SERIE A TRENDS

    FROM PARITY TO SCORING PARTY

Season 8 can still end up being less than Season 7 - or the rest of the Seasons- but as a trend- it is outpacing last Season's output. Basically after 12 matches played- over 41% matches are blowouts- but there could be a run of 1-0 or 0-0 matches- but if the numbers follow the natural progression we should see a Record shattering Week 2 &2. The most accurate percentage will happen once all the matches have been played and a true 36 sample size is taken- but by then it'll just be a Math Report-

Again, it could severely spike down- but as a trend, its forecasting 15 matches out of 36 will be blowouts- Montpellier still has to play 3 more matches, CSKA has 3 more matches , QPR 3 more matches, Serie A Defending Champion West Ham has yet to play- Add to that Anzhi with S. Eto (85 ST) & shattering last Season's numbers which were alarmingly high compared to Season 6-5 : shouldn't be an issue-

Montpellier came in to Season 8 HOT scoring 20 plus goal in 9 matches to end Season 7- they have managed 1 goal while allowing 11 in their first three matches. Is this a failure to adapt or just another slow start for the French side?

Doumbia (83 ST) has 7 goals in 3 matches almost 1/3rd of S. Eto (85 ST) output from last Season- Cisse (81 ST) has 4 in 3 matches & Di Natale (85 ST) has 5 in 6. It seems to be the Year of the FAST Strikers- Serie A holds with bated breath for S. Eto opening numbers this Season from Anzhi.

CSKA Moscow's 10 goals to 0 versus Top class Talent- not even close or a whiff of close matches- has put CSKA Moscow in the driver seat- and with it Season 8 may be over by Week 2. Teams will likely need to "DRAW" it out against the Russian outfit- something that occurred in Season 5 when CSKA Moscow finished 7th with a 4-10-4 Record.

Pundits are curious to see how the new format will affect Defending Champions West Ham United- the past oriented squad will need some adjustment period- but with the Season open will the Hammers find Form quick or suffer some learning curve blues?

    KEEP 5 STAY ALIVE

5 Men back lines has been grabbing some headlines this week as Hannover96 and Udinese have sported the Defensive tactic in their fixtures. QPR got stopped cold as Manager Rschwep tactically frustrated the Speed of QPR with a 5-4-1 Formation that left the London side befuddled.

Udinese effectively shut down Lille as the Italians drub the French side 3-0 allowing only 2 shots on target for Lille.

"Under our new philosophy, two goals should earn us three points a large portion of the time. However there may be times when we need three and certainly we could have had that today. We will continue to develop. It's not easy installing a major philosophical change. I'm proud of my team tonight and we will continue to get better."
    Hannover96 Manager Rschwep

The Formation has been impressive thus far that Sunderland has been seen incorporating it during some Friendlies against Marseille-

" 5 Friendlies 6 goals allowed ... all Wins against Marseille- (5-3-2) .. 3 other Friendlies against Marseille without it.. 3 losses allowing 7 goals.. cant argue results.."
    Sunderland Manager HokieNYC

Hannover96 falls to Marseille as the French side earn their first 3 points of the Season- winning away 1-0 in Germany.

"...unquestionably horrible effort. must stick to the system and improve..."
    Hannover Manager Rschwep

Week One nears to a close as 44% of matches are left still unplayed with one day to go.

    MATCH WEEK 2

Season 8 settles into a groove as Teams jockey for points early in the Serie A Race.

Udinese has schedule two Week 2 fixtures ahead and has come out split on both as the Italian squad vie to establish themselves in the Table. A match up against French side Lille opened the Week and the Italian Defense were able to hold Lille to 2 SOT and Di Natale (85 ST) Brace proved to be enough to take all three points as the Italians win 3-0. Udinese failed to slow down the powerful Russian side CSKA Moscow in what was deemed a Top 2 clash- CSKA Moscow wins out 2-0 as Akineev (84 GK ) keeps another Clean Sheet taking his Tally to 3 in 3 matches.

QPR looks to build on their Week 1 performance as they Welcome Anzhi and Stoke City at Home. The Defense will need to be keen on enigmatic Anzhi striker S. Eto (85 ST) as he will look to break down the Londoners Defense. Stoke City's power game will play an important role - whomever can impose their style of play may end up with all the points- Look for QPR to establish pace early and establish Defensive dominance and take both matches at home. QPR's clash against Defending Champion West Ham United looms as the 2nd legitimate Challenge for the Newboys - QPR will need to find a way to take points Away. West Ham has proven to be a very Dangerous squad and is one of the Favorites for this Seasons Championship.

West Ham United will look to hurdle some potential pitfalls as their 2 matches after a dangerous QPR falls Away to Marseille and at Home to Stoke City. The Potters will match up well with the Hammers Offensive attack as the Stoke City backline is a physical lot with plenty of power to spare- Marseille with their speedy attack may prove deadly to West Hams plodding Defense if OM are able to influence the pace of play.

The French side Marseille will look for points against the Middle of the Table as a clash against Sunderland and Anzhi may prove pivotal. Marseille has found some success against Sunderland in friendlies- OM Speed has been an issue that the Black Cats are unable to solve. Anzhi will need to find points against the newly promoted side- as this is a winnable contest in which the Russian outfit are slight favorites going in.

Sunderland will also need to steal points during this Middle of the Table clash- as both Santos and Montpellier are keen on keeping afloat- Santos has proven to be a tough out- as they have held tougher opponents. sunderland will need to watch out for Neymar (85 LW) who has yet to impress this Season- but a talent such as the Brasilian can only be contained for so long. Montpellier looks to end their abysmal Start - with critical must Wins this Week-

Montpellier will need to Win out against Middle of the Table contenders to offset the poor play early in the Season- the French sides Season cna easily be jumpstarted if they find success in their scheduled Fixtures- look for the French squad to field an attacking squads as they look to send another candidate down into relegation contention.

Hannover96 will bring its vaunted 5-4-1 formation and Challenge Offensive powerhouse CSKA Moscow to break it down- the German side has found a solution to last Seasons porous back line- success against the Russian outfit opens the schedule for Hannover as matches against an out of Form Montpellier and a Santos squad with questionable Defense.

Lille will need to bounce back from their early Loss to Udinese and welcome CSKA Moscow- this will be a barometer on how far the French side will need to work to be relevant in the Championship race - Lille will need to steal some points and hope for better success against underdog Stoke City- which may not have the Speed to match well with Lille.

Until Vagner Love comes back to CSKA I have banned all strikers from the pitch except Doumbia in protest!! In all seriousness I really hope they add a quality striker this month. If not then I'll eventually get Musa to partner up in attack to keep things from getting stale.

    MATCH WEEK 2 RECAP

Montpellier continues their poor form as they drop two matches against Russian Club Anzhi 2-1 and Hannover 4-2. The French squad has allowed 17 goals in 5 matches while only notching 4 of their own.

Hannover96 has yet to find some stability in their approach to the Season- but a meeting with out of form Montpellier awarded the Germans much needed points.

Anzhi starts their delayed Season with a Win- as they also feast on the poor start of Montpellier.

Stoke City failed to impress as QPR cruises to their 3rd win of the campaign- Stoke City saved face with a late minute PK- but the Londoner's showed no issues, taking care of their less talented opponents across the pitch.
