The Saints finally hosted their 1st home game of the season playing an AFC West opponent for the 2nd straight week. The Raiders moved the ball at ease on their opening possession feeding the ball to Mcfadden on the drive for a quick 7-0 lead. The Saints have been here before and despite not having Drew Brees, Daniel Zabzebski seems to have picked up where Drew left off. The Saints moved the ball down the field quickly and matched the Raiders score on a James 1 yard TD run. Both teams would keep it close in the 1st half as the Saints enjoyed a 17-14 halftime lead.
The 2nd half was all New Orleans in this one as the Saints outscored the Raiders 24-7 frustrating Kurt Warner forcing 4 INT's and eventually would be benched in this contest. Mansamee James would get his 1st 100 yard rushing performance as the Saints ran for over 200 yards on the ground and did not turn it over and also never punted in the game en route to a 37-14 win to silent the trash talking Raiders.
The Saints move to 3-1 on the season as they try and keep pace with a hot Carolina team in the NFC South.
